Restoran Makanan Laut Ah Poh — Restaurant in Selangor

I knew about this place from a food critique in IG. He claimed to me hidden gem in Kuala Selangor. But we got to disappointed.

Sweet sour crab - lack of taste. Colour also not appealing Their signature fried fish- at my 1st bite, its mainly flour. Steam fish - fish not that fresh, not nice at all Tofu - so so Vege - pretty good

10 pax - 5 adults , 5 kids RM289.50. No other customers besides us. Atmosphere very quiet. At least with some background music will uplift the atmosphere a bit.

But lady boss is very friendly. Just sad that the food is not up to...

Mediocre food. The veges were very salty. Mantis prawn lacked flavor. Squid with lemongrass was OK but slightly overcooked. The deep fried small fish was good though. We went at 145pm and there was not much choice. I noticed other patrons eating noodles and one plate rice dishes.

We asked for ice barley and while I was heading to the toilet, I noticed one of the owners using his hands to handle the ice. I told him off but he didn't bother to change the drinks....

We arrived at 12pm on Sat. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Everything in the picture menu on the wall looked so good. Every dish tasted fresh. Not greasy and salty. Not overwhelmed with seasoning. The fried oyster was more like Korean pancake. Different from the usual fried oyster. The fried crab beehoon was excellent. Not greasy. By the time we finished our meal, the restaurant was full of customers. Value for money. Service was fast...
