Glass House Glenmarie — Attraction in Shah Alam

Asides from catering at their well known venue in Shah Alam, they also offer their management services in other venues such as Forest Valley, Cheras. I had my wedding under them on the 21.12.2024 and there were many cons throughout.

Cons:

1. We had a food trial session 2-3 weeks prior to the event. None of the comments we made regarding the food were implemented. Majority of the food that was cooked eventually went bad towards the end of the night with some of them not being cooked properly.
2. We already hired and paid our photographer for the event. Management somehow had another photographer who took our photos without our consent and even asked our guests if they wanted their photos for a price. When asked who consented to having an additional photographer, the floor manager kept saying I, the bride consented, when I didn’t. When I told them to not have the photographer continue on taking photos, they came up with the excuse that their management gave the photographer as a gift. I don’t consent for any of my photos to be used as advertisement under this company. Honestly, very unprofessional and unacceptable behavior.
3. The staff hired to serve the food to the guests weren’t even doing their job. They literally left their stations, went to take photos at the photobooth (before, during and after) the reception. No one was serving food, they literally left their whole buffet line to be dirty and unkept.
4. Bad management by the floor manager. 4 days prior to the event, the floor manager as well as us the bride and groom came to rehearsals. We updated in our small whatsapp group regarding the changes which were needed to be done, etc but the floor manager who literally was with us throughout every step of the way, was completely useless, very blur of our itinerary. The worst part was, my wedding was held in the PM as there was another wedding being held in the morning. We had an agreement that our wedding arrangements would start at 4.30pm once the morning party left but nothing was being done. They literally let the morning party stay until 5pm and everyone was so upset why everything was left at the last minute. So unprofessional and reflected very badly on the management.

I’m just thankful that my family were there to help throughout the whole experience. I can say that this management group is very bad at handling any grandscale event. I would suggest to hire an entirely different wedding management to take care of your event especially if its...

Honest speaking it was nice hall, with all the lightings, the fairylights, the facilities all good and even a huge car park for the guests.. Everything went smoothly throughout my reception..

What i even like is the marketing team are all superb, fast replier and really helpful. My floor manager Mr Taufik also to my liking! He look presentable, firm and making sure everything accordingly.. And I love how my MC encik Rizal handle my event and even fulfil my requests.

But i admit there are some flaws, First, our family didnt get the food exactly as food testing and even dapat food yang tak elok (basi). Second, they didnt make sure simple/basic thing are all set before event start (takde tisu awal awal majlis). Third, ni yang buat i agitated daripada before majlis lagi the PIC in group chat sangat la late replier, sampai i kena privately chat them untuk reply dalam group.. Marketing team dah bagitahu yang we will discuss about my reception 2 month before event but 1 month before event pun tak discuss lagi and the PIC takde contact i untuk bagitahu when the discussion will be held, i yang nervously chat them and tanya sendiri.. which u guys yang sepatutnya responsible and inform us..

Please please improve this, client paid u all bukan sikit.. Minta depo pun bukan sikit 40% upon. U should at least be responsive.. Please make sure the service are as good as what we...

Assalamualaikum & Bismillah. Saya mengambil masa yg agak lama untuk buat review ni. Saya selaku pengantin ingin meluah kan rasa tidak puas hati dgn pihak management. Overall yg ok adalah tempat mmg boom, especially pelamin, parking, cameraman, MC, makanan sedap. Tapi, klu makanan sedap Pon tapi klu pramu saji muka x ikhlas buat kje Pon x jadi ape kan. It's effect mood tetamu yg nk menjamu selera. Makanan di catu bukan atas dasar saya byr kurang yew, tapi saya pelik kenapa makanan Saya kena catu. Majlis saya 7pm-11pm tapi tetamu dtg pukul 845pm ke atas da x de makanan. Tetamu saya by digital invitation sahaja 200pax, saya tambah lagi 100pax dgn niat mmg nk bagi tetamu mkn tambah. X kan x cukup??? Klu ye Pon invitation ade bawak extra or bukan by invitation, x kan sampai 100pax. Mustahil. Tetamu nak tambah mkn mereka ckp x boleh, lauk bagi 1 ketul ayam kecik, dagin besar2 jari 3pcs. The best part masa pemilihan lauk saya pilih lain, masa majlis lain yg di hidang kan. Paling best kesalahan yg mereka rasa kecil, tapi tidak bagi pihak suami saya adalah print Salah ejaan nama dekat bunting. Lepas tu door gift saya tertggl, x de siapa Pon update. X kan la Masa kemas2 dewan x nampak ada 2 3 kotak besar tertggl kan. Pelik. Saya pun luah kan rase x puas hati, ni part paling best yew. Pihak management langsung tidak mintak maaf dgn saya. Langsung ye. Kecewa nya saya. Saya lgsg x mintak discount wlu 1 sen pun, byr full payment mengikut masa yg di tetap kan. Tapi ni hasil yg saya dapat. Silap saya x baca review sblm saya tempat wedding saya kat sini, silap terbesar saya. Dgn ini saya nak cakap, lillahi taala saya x halal kan setiap makanan yg tetamu saya x dapat nk makan mlm tu sbb invitation saya 200pax+100pax nampak gaya nya MIA. Sbnr nya bnde makan ni klu kena gaya, sedekah je tapi kecewa nya saya sbb mereka da dtg jauh2, dgn harapan dtg nak menjamu selera, nak memeriah kan majlis saya, sbb by invitation kan tapi 845pm ke atas kata nya da habis. ALLAH huakbar 😭, mana pihak management, kenapa x check. Kenapa boleh biar kan tetamu x maka? Cawan Pon tetamu terpaksa ambil Dari bekas2 org & basuh sendiri. 1st time saya hadapi benda2 mcm ni. Saya tulis ni bukan nak menjatuh kan sesiapa tapi ni tidak adil bagi saya & tetamu2 saya. Majlis 7pm-11pm. Lepas 1 jam 2 jam habis. Mana pegi balance makanan?? Ingt yew, sesiapa yg terlibat. Saya x halal kan sbb pihak lain lah tetamu saya x dapat makan. Ni bukan sebab hamak kan makanan tapi pihak yg tidak jujur. Ni panjang lebar nya luahan kalau kena delete, mmg nampak sgt management hide something. Sebab ada je review yg mereka delete....
