Good place for trekking but was not allowed to the blue lagoon, before reaching the blue lagoon area, we met 5 officers who wanted to prosecute us (was ready to take us to the police station), we were without a hiking permit to visit waterfalls and the blue lagoon. Finally, we were not allowed to explore the blue lagoon and the waterfalls, and we had to turn back around towards where we entered. Truly an insane experience overall, we were so confused about needing a written permit for nature hiking/swimming. Not recommended if you don't want to be approached by random officers from jabatan perhutanan selangor who were ready to take us to the local authorities, with a fine of rm20,000 or 2 years in prison or both! Will never return to this area, we were left super traumatised and shocked that these hills were deemed as research for students from UPM but not accessible to public any longer. Isn't the public tax money funding UPM? Also, this is one of the dirtiest hills I've come across in Selangor, garbage everywhere so not sure if they were reseaching human garbage, bring a bag and collect as much as your body can carry. 😑 Hoping that the recently added Chinese New Year decorations won't be a new addition to the existing pile of garbage on the hills. Plenty of important trees and vines were marked permanently with metal and...

You should be able to locate the waterfall after 45mun of hike. Remember to bring like essential tool if you decide to go in by your own. Else just follow the major...
Read morePleasantly surprised to find a green lung and such a natural space in KL. We went with 4 kids ages 4 to 14 with no prior hiking experience. By coincidence, met Ryan who offered to take us up to the waterfall. The trail was good as it was fairly dry the day before. Older kids could go themselves. 4 year old was carried on shoulders (not recommended!).
Kids looked for giant freshwater prawns and found some juvenile macrobrachium (these were released back into stream)
A nice surprise at the end - the local hiking community provides brushes and pails for hikers to clean...
