My experience was a pleasant one. The environment there was child friendly and decorated with a more Japanese feeling to it. The place was air-conditioned. The place has plentiful of parking. Be sure to go early during the weekends or make reservations a few days earlier as it will be packed during dinner and lunch hours. I like the Japanese theme utensils they use. They have 2 floors and lift as well. This place is wheelchair accessible. It even has handicap parkings. The first item that I had was the grilled salmon fish head. It was grilled to perfection and slightly salted. The next thing I had on the menu is a 3 type bento set which consist of salmon, cod and saba which are all slightly salted. Then bento set comes with a chawanmushi which is a steamed egg, miso soup and salad. The next thing was fried small mackerels. It was crispy and the flesh of the fish was succulent. The next thing I had was the fried tempura which consist of prawns and vegetables with each slightly battered and fried. The fifth item was the unagi don. The unagi was soft and buttery. It goes really well with the rice. But for the portion given it was kind of overpriced. The sixth item was the fried squid tentacles. The tentacles was fried till perfection and the spices that are used in the batter was salty and has a little curry flavour to it. The other thing i had was the crabmeat salad with avocado. The crabmeat was flaky and soft. There were 2 choices of sauce to choose from for the salad. The first is the wafu sauce which is a sweet and sour citrus sauce. The second sauce is a sesame sauce which is a sweet and salty sauce. The last thing I had was the appetizer which consist of seasoned octopus, seaweed salad and seasoned scallop fringe. These 3 appetizers tasted okay like the normal appetizers u get from normal sushi...
Read moreThe first patron to this restaurant was easily half a decade ago. Decided to come again with my family members. Ambience was ok. U need to place your shoes at the designated cupboards provided. As for service I would rank 6/10, cleanliness 8/10, food taste : 7/10. My encounter, there was no proper communication between the reception and the waitress on the first floor, so she has no idea where to seat us. Then we waited for our order to be attended to easily 30 minutes. We also need to wait quite long for our tea to be served. We ordered beef sukiyaki, beef rice, salmon, fried mushroom and soft shell crab buns. Beef rice and beef sukiyaki soup were too sweet to our likings, fried mushroom prolly has been left too long on the counters which were a little cold and soggy and I had to remind them 3 times for this order. Fried salmon was good so as the soft shell buns. Overall I think the price of the food here is a little on the high side and they definitely need to do something on the service as they could be short handed and not prepared to counter react against...
Read moreFirst and foremost, please head to SHIN ZUSHI. You get absolute better value for money and for high quality food. I used to frequent this place until I moved out of Puchong and since I was around the area with my husband, we decided to drop by. Sad to say, this would be the last.
The only thing of quality here in tsuki no miyako is their fresh wasabi. That too if you ask for it.
Their nigiri got soooo much of rice and a thinly sliced meat on top. You can only taste the rice and barely taste the meat. Their sashimi was so so la.. Was not so fresh I would say. Even the other ingredients such as their mushrooms and scallops were not fresh. The chicken wings were soooo hard to break apart and was over cooked. I've had scallops that would melt like butter in your mouth at shin zushi.
I would not mind paying so much if the quality of the raw ingredients are up to par as well.
Having good service and a beautiful ambiance is just ruined by the...
