Found this place around my neighbourhood and decided to drop by, and I'm more than satisfied with this eatery!
Ordered 3 of their RM9.90 dishes, and all of them did not disappoint!
Starting with their Aglio-Olio, I had added on a Chicken Chop for an additional RM3.90, which makes this RM13.80 nett. Despite the conservative appearance, the taste was fantastic! The Aglio-Olio tasted great, not too spicy, and was not overcooked. Chicken Chop was amazing too, well cooked, with great flavour.
Next, the Pomodoro Tomato Spaghetti. For those who love a stronger, slightly more sour tomato pasta, this is great. Personally, the side o the chicken slice wasn't too great of an addition, but tasted good nonetheless. Perhaps other sides would be a better choice.
Finally, the Salted Egg Spaghetti. Exactly as the name implies, tasted pretty good, with a Salted egg flavour. The sauce was on the more viscous side, which was great.
Overall, all three mains while is slightly on the simpler side, came with complementary bread as well, which was very welcomed.
The ongoing promotion with free drinks (Ice Lemon Tea, Hot or Cold Green Tea) for lunch and ice cream was dinner makes this experience even better.
Overall ambience is also pretty decent, some light air conditioning, with some music in the background, though it can get noisy when full house during lunch hours. Would definitely recommend others to come here! I personally definitely come back here again for my meals...
Read moreThis is a classic good value restaurant. Newly opened but garnered good response due to their signature RM9.90 Chicken Chop with choice of fries, mashed or cole slaw and a drink. What a deal!
Deals aside, their other menu items still a good value are pretty good tasting too. My boy and daughter likes their Carbonara and always orders that and I add on the chicken chop for me.
Interesting thing about V Cef is they also sell specialized bottled herbs. Branded as 'VHerbs' I've tasted a few of their selections and they are remarkably good. Add these on to your meal and it gives it a more interesting Zing!
Have tried their Chili Heat, Curry Kick, Taiwanese, Sour Onion, Parsley Salt and Black Pepper. Some better...
Read moreThe waiting system was really messy. Customers who left were skipped, but when they returned later, the staff still let them go in right away instead of asking them to re-queue, which felt very unfair. The food was bland and tasteless — I had to ask for extra salt and pepper just to get some flavor. Service was also disappointing. The waiters were very forgetful; I had to ask more than twice just to get simple things like an extra straw, salt, and pepper. Definitely not a pleasant...
