I am a loyal and frequent customer for this branch, but I guess not anymore. I don’t have high expectation from the staffs, I mean at least minimal respect is good enough. Everyone makan gaji, as long as u do your job. It’s fine.
But ytd I went with my toddler, and at the weighing area there was a long queue. There were 2 staffs working at the counter - Malay lady and a tall, bald, Indian guy. I have observed awhile that he seemed to only take those customers as he like to serve. Or rather those with very little items to weigh, so I decided to go over to that counter as my toddler was making noise to leave already and I only had 4 items to be weighed.
Upon reaching his counter, he was speaking rudely and LOUDLY: AWAK BOLE TUNGGU? AWAK BOLE TUNGGU?? IKAT INI SEMUA, MESIN INI ROSAK. Sana lebih cepat. NNT DEPAN TAK BOLEH SCAN, U KENA BALIK SINI.
(Really, after he weigh for me, I was faster than “sana lebih cepat”)
As I was with my toddler, I didn’t want to scold him back. But I am a customer!! Seriously, if you don’t feel like you need this job. Kindly resign from it.
ALSO, if your machine was really “rosak” why did your staff just stood there and select customer as he likes?? Shouldn’t he be looking for a technician? Bear in mind there was a long queue at the back. IT IS THE WEEKEND!!!
I kesian his colleague whom has to weigh for ALL the customers at the back. Also, as a customer, I don’t feel that I deserve such disrespect and...
Read moreParking's entries do not support Touch 'n Go. All of the car parking lots outside the mall do not have roof. The driving direction and car parking lots are very confusing and can easily cause accident, especially some car drivers park their cars not according to parking spot. Some of the employees are impolite. Only few cashier counters being opened during peak hours. The vegetable they sold is not fresh compared to other shopping mall. There is no Japan, Korea, or Taiwan imported product (cup noodle, for e.g.) to be purchased from. Insufficient sitting place in food court during peak hours, public and school holiday. Their escalator sometimes broken and never get repaired. Shopping cart (trolley) very hard to control (for example taking turn). 50 cent coin which used to unlock shopping cart will get stolen by other people if customers forgot to lock it back to cart storing area. Custom coin should be used for this purpose, like those used in TF Value mart. The self-checkout machines they provide are not fully automated and very confusing. For example, customers need to acquire assistance from Lotus staff if machines detect foreign items which do not have barcode.
Mar 2024: Parking lot entering ticket no longer applicable; requires to use debit, credit or Touch 'n Go card instead.
Sept 2025: Does not provide air-conditioning, feels very hot...
Read moreThis Tesco Extra in Puchong used to be a huge store but it has in recent years, downsized by some 20% to 30% in terms of floor space and product range. As such, it lacks the grandeur of its good old days and the range of consumer items have been shrinking from month to month as business is badly hit by the current economic situation as well as from online competition. You no longer find those normal goods and in their place, are often "inferior goods" in economic terms. This is especially true of those one can source from online platforms such as Shopee, Lazada or 11Street, such as daily fashion items, toys, shoes and TV.
The main draw appears to be fresh produce (fresh fruits and vegetables), fish and other seafood, pastry, fresh milks, rice, cookinf oils and other daily essential items such as bewerage including instant coffee, premixed types are particularly in demand. Due to the need to cost-contain, the airconditioning of the store is somehow, not up to expectation. Overall shopping experience is not what is used to be at many Tesco Extra outlets, just shows that it is the sign of the day. However, the saving grace is that there is a well-stocked "Mr. DIY" located on the same floor that used to be part of this Tesco Extra. Overall...
