Mayang Mall ā Promises Undelivered
From the outside, Mayang Mall looks like it has everything going for it. With Sogo as the anchor tenant, large retail spaces, and a modern exterior, one would expect a bustling shopping hub. Missing a grocery store though. Sadly, that promise quickly unravels once you step ināor even before you do.
The Good: ⢠The mall is brightly lit, creating the illusion of vibrancy. ⢠Air conditioning is strong and cooling, making it comfortable to walk around.
The Disasters: ⢠Parking: Easily the mallās biggest downfall. Poorly designed and badly executed. Spaces are limited, circulation is confusing, and the exit is awkwardly placed near to a busy traffic light. On weekends or public holidays, prepare to be stuck for ages. What should take minutes often turns into hours of frustration. ⢠Signage & Doors: The basics are overlooked. No clear indicators on glass doorsāpull or push, guess at your own risk. Small but dangerous design flaws like these add up and leave a sour impression. I nearly broke the glass door on my way out. ⢠Toilets: Shockingly inconvenient. Youāll need to go through multiple doors just to reach them. Corridors leading there are dimly lit, and once inside, the condition hardly inspires confidence. For a mall of this scale, it feels like an afterthought. ⢠Management & Safety: This is where the real disappointment lies. Concierge counters are unmanned, no security presence is visible, and thereās no clear way to call for help. It doesnāt instill a sense of safety for shoppers or families.
Verdict: Mayang Mall is a case study in poor management. It has the right location, size, and potential, but basic fundamentalsāparking, signage, safety, and upkeepāare overlooked. Unless things improve drastically, the mall risks becoming yet another...

1)a fifth storey mall that just hv one prayer rooms where's the air- conditioning switched off
2)A medium sized mall with a tiny elevators and a small parking space. Make sense bcoz "the locals" here not Used it and double parked at the outside whenever the parking space on the 3rd floor and above are empty. Lol it's kinda funny
3)Found out the locals here can't find the toilet bcoz of bad sign....i got a picture of a doorway to toilet with no sign...who would knew that toilet even exist there plus this is the hottest toilet mall i had in my entire life(no aircond)
4)Mall directory got a bad interface and hard to use. I'm about 156cm and u hd a hard time to use it and more harder if u taller than me plus i found out some of the directory malfunctioning....it's a new mall Why am i experiencing this š
If this happen again next two month i will rate 1 star...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMayang is a great stop while Terengganu just has a few issue with the standard of cleanliness. Being one of the biggest and newest malls you would expect that only 60 percent shop lots would be filled out. I hope as they grow more businesses open shops filling the empty lots (including the still unopened GSV cinema) and make this mall a true east coast attraction. My only issue is per usual is cleanliness...if your going to attract and keep guest you need to keep a high level of cleanliness and sanitation...the floor are still dirty with dust and scuffs, Walls and doors look dirty with smears making this newly opened mall look 20 years old and run down. The worst is their sanitation...š I found the bathrooms to be wet and trash on the floor unattended and human feces šµāš« in the emergency stairs...(pictured). Not saying who is to blame the actor or the mall administration but what is certain is; the mall, its patrons, and it business deserve a bit more dignity (respect) in terms of its...
