The museum is amazing, the pieces on display and the texts were well written. Even more enjoyable than our visit to Frida's house. The guard on the staff in the museum was kind and helpful, and walked all through the museum with me to show where the bathroom was.
But it must be noted that the two men in the book shop are not prepared to deal with the public. I took a photo of the back cover of a book and didn't know it wasn't allowed, as there were no signs or prior communication stating this rule. Read moreI loved this little museum! This is an easy stop if youre in the area to go to casa azul. The entry is super cheap and so worth the hour or so of your time! The special exhibit was so fascinating, i loved learning more about the punk political scene in cdmx. It was so wonderful to have a museum celebrate the importance of a space like alicia was. They also had a cute market while i visited, such a nice surprise! Also recommend the bookstore if youre looking for any interesting books or other media in spanish- the topics are...

The bookstore was fabulous but I was heading to the Kahlo museum so I wasn't sure if I could take anything large there so I just browsed. They have amazing archeology magazines and awe inspiring calendars. If you're looking for printed material make the trip here. The two exhibits I did see were very good and great context was provided. The exterior that was closed had beautiful, colorful murals. I might have to delve into archives to see what other exhibits have been there. Also some gorgeous trees and a kind of quiet spot for sitting in the shade...
