Taquería Pepe Coyotes Coyoacán — Restaurant in Mexico City

Was very excited to try this place out, so we went for breakfast. Very disappointing experience.

First of all, coyoacan prides itself on the coffee and instead we got served 2 cups of very burnt coffee. Fine, nbd, so we order another coffee, made fresh. This time it was too dark and not drinkable. C'mon man, you can't mess the coffee up in Coyoacan.

Next: We ordered motulenos (egg breakfast dish with plantains). 1. This dish came cold, literally the ham wasnt cooked just tossed on the dish. 2. The "plantains" was really 1 tiny slice that barely counts, The tortillas werent fried or heated. Absolutely not a dish they should ve selling if that's the quality.

I ended up having a cazuela with eggs and chorizo, which I rate 3/5. small tiny minced pieces of chorizo and potatoes. I prefer esquina de milagros for that dish. But every one else's dish looked good, so there's that.

My server was kind and I appreciate his efforts. Unfortunately he doesn't cook so we had to give it 2 stars. Coyoacan is too good of a place to burn ur coffee and serve...

We discovered this restaurant thanks to its great reviews, and it truly lived up to the hype. The food is authentic, flavorful, and served in very generous portions. Every dish felt like a real taste of Mexico.

The staff (and some friendly locals) helped us choose the best options, and their recommendations were spot on. The fresh juice-based drinks were a highlight — so refreshing and delicious that we ordered two each!

As travelers from Germany (with roots in Russia and Croatia), we felt warmly welcomed and completely satisfied. This place gave us one of our best food experiences in Mexico City. Highly recommended — and we would love to come back on...

Primero, saludos. Normalmente asisto con mi familia a PepeCoyotes para pasar un buen rato. Hemos probado todos sus platillos, y todo es muy delicioso. Si me preguntan cuál es el más delicioso, en mi opinión, son sus alambres, aunque definitivamente vale la pena probar de todo. Además, debo comentar que su servicio es excelente, el ambiente es muy agradable y familiar.

Una experiencia muy especial que tuve en PepeCoyotes fue cuando, en una ocasión, olvidé mi celular en una mesa, que estaba hasta el fondo del segundo nivel. Pasaron más de dos horas antes de que me diera cuenta de que no tenía el móvil, y me alarmé, no tanto por el dispositivo en sí, sino por toda la información que contiene y lo importante que es para mí.

Así que regresé al establecimiento de PepeCoyotes con la certeza de que ya lo había perdido. Incluso ya había buscado los teléfonos para avisar a las sucursales bancarias. Llegué a PepeCoyotes bastante nervioso, me dirigí al segundo nivel, y para mi sorpresa, la mesa ya estaba ocupada por otras personas, caro era obvio por el tiempo transcurrido, pero en el momento uno alcanza a pensar eso. Me acerqué al mesero que nos atendió y le pregunté por mi teléfono. Para mi sorpresa, me respondió con mucha amabilidad que él lo había recogido y que podía pasar por él en la caja. Créanme, cuando recibí esa respuesta, me quedé sorprendido y fascinado. Qué bueno que en estos tiempos aún existan lugares como PepeCoyotes. Lo mejor para estos...
