Sayulita VIP Transportation & Gaby Golf Carts — Attraction in Nayarit

Awful experience. Someone at Tacos Al Pastor Diaz blocked the road and took a video of us having more than 4 people on the golfcart, sent it to the company and they showed up at our airbnb while we were swimming in the pool at night- they climbed the wall invading our privacy instead of ringing the bell and told us they had the police with them. They did not have police, then he proceeded to lie and say he was the owner, ask if for $300 USD, saying we broke the golf cart. He acted like it wouldn’t drive. I got in and showed him it worked. He wasn’t putting his foot on the gas. He was a liar and a thief. The real owner came the next morning and was respectful and acknowledged we didn’t break it, but that we have to pay $150 USD for having more than 4 people. They delivered the golf cart directly to our hotel, which was really nice. But, the golf cart didn’t have enough power to go more than a short trip in town and had trouble climbing our short hill leading to all the passengers walking two times. This was after a full charge for 12+ hours each night. After a couple days of complaining, they switched out our golf cart this afternoon which is a good sign because there’s no way it’d make it to our hotel. We’re still on our trip waiting to see if this golf cart performs any better. I’ll update the review if they’re willing to give us a partial refund for the last few days where the golf cart had limited utility due to the issues mentioned above. Beware of this company. Scammers. Accused us of lying when we told them cart only used one day due to broken emergency brake. Then set up our housemates in a scam in Sayulita. Accused them of blocking road which they did not, when they got back to the cart it was picked up and moved. At first a ticket was going to be issued through the golf cart company, then it quickly changed and fake police aggressively ordered them to hand over their drivers license and pay $1000 MX. Our friends only had $300 MX and the fake police said that’s fine we’ll take that. Golf cart owner then took cart and we were without cart for last day that we paid for with no communication from this company. Definitely do not use, felt very shady...
