If you don't try El Jakal, you'll have missed a special treat. Our third trip to Sayulita and El Jakal is ALWAYS a 'must visit' multiple times per trip. If you love Red Snapper (or fish in general), ask for it before you sit down. I was lucky enough to get the last order tonight and will order another one if available before we leave. The best fish I've ever tasted! A fresh whole Snapper, seasoned and fried to perfection every time. Simply delicious! ...and the Coconut shrimp are the best we've ever tasted also. The fresh seafood tostadas are OUTSTANDING as a starter and use the unique housemade sauces, you will become an instant fan. I'm rarely overly impressed by a resturant, but this food and service blows me away every time. Its been 3 years since we visited, and it was better than we remembered it. LOVE THIS PLACE, and the new ower Juan has not only maintained the outstanding quality, but also has kept the prices VERY reasonable. Fantastic value, especially if you seek delicious, well prepared,...

Any other phrase you can think of that means "one of the best things I've ever eaten?" If you get it before it sells out, the whole fried snapper is amazing. The marlin empanada is top notch. The passion fruit and shrimp augachile is one of the best iterations I've had. Excellent Margheritas as well. And all of this for some of the most reasonable prices around. Excellent value for money. My advice is to go there enough that the LOVELY and charming Angelica will remember your drink order and to bring extra napkins for your messy but very enthusiastic table mate....
