We were ushered into the restaurant by a good-natured man named Tony who we took to be the proprietor. Since we have dietary restrictions (one Veg. one Seafood allergy) he took the time to explain they can accommodate any diet. We have found this to be the case in most small Mexican restaurants. Tony then handed us off to an English (UK) waitress who I mistook for a Mexican native speaking English with an Australian accent. My bad.
We ordered a shared meal of Quesadillas with Guacamole and both were delicious. We enjoyed Soda Water, a "split" of El Pacifico, and some Mescal (in a decent pour) along with house water for drinks. All were delicious and generous servings.
We moved our seats for after dinner to be entertained with live music from Diego.
This place is a little off the downtown area. We enjoyed the music and the ambience is lovely with comfortable chairs, table big enough for our card game and music not too loud for some conversation. The customers may have been local expats rather than all tourists or some mix of both.
All in all just a very pleasant low key evening at modest cost for a beach town. Other reviews have very...

Great location, 50m from the beach but NOT in the super busy main streets, so access and parking is way better than a lit of places so close to the beach.
The food is fresh, best guacamole we've had in 4 months with delicious corn chips.
The best ceveche, suuuper fresh, not fishy at all mixed with lemon or lime, fresh herbs, corn, avo and almonds. Different to what I've ever had but one of the best.
Awesome selection of tequila, as well as what we discovered was the owners own. So smooth, so delicious.
They listen to your requests for drinks, super attentive staff, nice cold beer.
It was all so good, we dove straight in without taking pictures! Oops.
For two of us, ordering 3 dishes, about 12 beers and a few cocktails the bill was 1200 pesos, which I think is very reasonable.
We will be back, and I...
Read moreMy favorite spot in Sayulita on the Northside, cool breezy tropical atmosphere. Great staff, vibe, food & plenty of seating for singles, groups or family. Bar & restaurant serves up local favorites like Coconut shrimp with delish dip sauce, golden brown coconut batter on big prawns you can't go wrong! I also love their salads & quesadillas are generous portions & full of grilled veggies & your choice of protein. Lots on the breakfast, lunch & dinner menu for all! Drinks are amazing, fresh ingredients, hand crafted cocktails( my favorite is the passion fruit margarita, I add jalapeño for a spicy kick) Don Michel has wide tequila selection, including his own high quality crafted tequila "Don Michel" of Anjeo, Reposado or Blanco to add to drinks to take it up a notch or take a bottle home as a souvenir! They often have live music in the evenings, & TVs so you can catch a...
