I was super hopeful that I’d love this place because of all the vegan options — but I was pretty disappointed. I tried eating here two different times and both times the dish I ordered was missing something that was supposed to come with it. When I asked about the missing ingredient/part of the dish, they said they were out, and didn’t have an alternative to offer. I wish they had mentioned it beforehand. The second dish I got was a pretty small amount of food and I ended up getting more food somewhere else after. Aside from the incomplete dishes and portion sizing, I did appreciate that they had several vegan options, and what did come with the dishes tasted good. On the second day we ate here, they waited until we were going to pay to tell us it was “cash only today,” even though we had paid card the day before and there were no signs saying cash only. Overall, the food was fine but probably wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreWe came here with our family three times during our time in Sayulita. Everytime the service got worse. Food is ok but nothing special, go somewhere else. Do not order the acai bowl, like others have mentioned it's a soupy mess. Also the blueberry pancakes have about 5 blueberries total. There's so many better breakfast places. We will not be coming back.
The first time they were nice, good service. Let us pay by credit card but added a 5% surcharge. Fine.
Second time, service was so slow and I had to wait to pay at the stand while the girl was just calculating checks instead of helping the person right in front of her.
Last and final straw, service was bad and then they said no credit cards and also added a gratuity to our bill. When I went to pay I was short 4 pesos for the tip and he asked me if I had 4 extra pesos. Since when is a gratuity guaranteed for...
Read moreWe were happy to find vegan options. My husband ordered the vegan hash and I the vegan burrito. They were both quite bland, but in spite of that we would have considered going back because of the vegan options. UNTIL we got the bill. Just two of us, but 18% gratuity added to the bill. We are good tippers, so that was offensive. We decided not to challenge it, but had to forcefully request our change. A matter of a few pesos, but having already paid an additional 18%, it was a matter of principle. Over 600 pesos for 2 dishes and 2 margaritas. Shortly after, we found a place on the beach that served us larger (and boozier) margaritas for 70 pesos, vs the 150 that Northside charged us. Which made us aware of how tourist-priced Northside had been. We just want to be charged fairly, so based on our experience, we...
