An Inexcusably Poor Dining Experience at Alina Restaurant, Casino Royale
Our visit to Alina Restaurant in Casino Royale, St. Martin, was deeply unsatisfactory, highlighted by a series of service failures and a complete lack of management presence.
Initially seated next to the emergency exit in a smoking area, we endured 15 minutes of secondhand smoke before being relocated. This oversight in seating demonstrated an immediate lack of guest consideration.
The inefficiency in service was painfully evident. Our appetizers, while tasty, took an unreasonable 30-45 minutes to arrive. When it came to our main course, after a further 45 minutes, we were informed by our server - the only person who seemed to be attending to our needs - that it would be another 30 minutes, totaling over two hours of waiting.
Shockingly, at no point during this ordeal did a manager appear to address our concerns. Furthermore, there was a stark absence of any gesture to amend the situation, such as a complimentary drink or extra appetizer. This lack of proactive customer service was astonishing and unacceptable.
Adding to our frustration, we noticed that the table next to us, seated before us, had still not received their food by the time we decided to leave. This not only underscored the kitchen’s disarray but also highlighted a systemic problem in the restaurant’s service.
We left Alina Restaurant feeling disregarded and hungry. The lack of a managerial response, the failure to offer any form of compensation, and the overall neglect for customer satisfaction were appalling. This experience was a stark contrast to the standard expected at a dining establishment in such a prestigious location as Casino Royale. It was not just a disappointment, but a glaring demonstration of how poor management can ruin the...
Read moreCame here for dinner the other day. While service was okay. This place is at most some mediocre Japanese food with high dining prices. We got the confit duck gyoza and it wasn’t anything special. I also got a nigiri selection plate as I prefer fresh fish cuts over rolls. The fish quality was just mid, not anything super fresh. On top of that I was extremely confused that the chef decided to sprinkle salt on the raw fish? I didn’t realize they had sprinkled salt on it until I ate a piece of nigiri & almost spit it out because I thought there was sand still in some of the nigiri. I’m an extreme sushi lover… it’s not traditional to put salt on nigiri like that. Service was ok but felt a little lacking as well. I would not come here unless you’re okay paying exorbitant prices for mediocre sashimi. The prices here are way too overpriced for the product they’re offering & the chef should learn how to make the...
Read moreThe appetizers were really good, we had tuna tataki and that was absolutely amazing! We also ordered the Duck Gyoza, my husband and daughter liked it very much, it wasn't my taste and that is fine. My daughter had the Miso soup and it was by far the best one we had ever tasted.
But the sushi rolls looked a mess and there was so much sauce and stuff on it that you do not even taste the fish anymore. We had the Sexy sexy Salmon and the Happy Dragon. Our daughter had the Everything is possible roll and she enjoyed that on very much and as you can see in the pictures, hers looked so much cleaner and less saucy. We like sushi because of the fresh fish, but I couldn't even taste the fish the let you know if it was...
