Off the beaten path, we came across this windmill that was built in 1792 and recently restored to functioning after being in disrepair for many years. Cycling, we nearly passed it by, but to our delight, a volunteer beckoned us in and showed us this mill. It was used to make chalk, ground up stone that was then purposed to make grout for sea walls and other uses. Do visit and please make donation, it is maintained and run...
