The Green House — Restaurant in Curaçao

I came to Greenhouse because of the great Trip Advisor reviews. It was my first time in Curacao and it was my birthday dinner choice. Once we walked to the open seating area we met the nicest waiter named (Jodi). He showed us the indoor air conditioned seating area first but it has more of a club vibe. Since it was my last night in Curacao we wanted to enjoy the ocean breeze in their huge outdoor seating area. Jodi was amazing at explaining the drink and food options, he also informed us they had Happy hour on Margaritas and Mojitos which we all love. We tried the sushi rolls first and I love that they give you the option to select 2 different kinds of sushi if your indecisive for 10 pieces.

We were in the mood to have seafood for dinner so we had the grilled snapper, shrimp pasta and conch with shrimp. Jodi went out of his way to make me feel VIP for my birthday and provided excellent customer service. The portions are large so just remember that when you see the pricing because it's more than worth it. We ended with a birthday song from everyone around us and cookies and cream ice cream and espresso martini which was delicious.

This is the worst experience in all of my five days stay here in Curaçao! Waited over 1.5 hours for our food, the water didn’t even think to check on our order till we asked. Asked to speak to a manager, the waiter said they don’t have a manager but I saw him talking to a gentleman, so I asked who was that, he said he’s the owner!! So I demanded the owner to come to talk with me, and he didn’t even want to come and speak with me and deal with my complaints!! As a business owner, this owner has failed BIG time in dealing with customer complaints and how to handle it!

I understand everything is slow on an island time, but come on!! I am a Travel Agent, and will go back to my hotel at Marriott Beach Resort to tell the concierge of the bad service that I have received here since they were the ones who recommended me this place! Do NOT come here! There’s plenty of other restaurants around!! Their food is mediocre, and they only gave us a $15 off the bill which was a total JOKE and the owner never showed up to apologize! In fact, we never received any apologies from the waiter...

I'm so glad I came across a post about this place! We had been looking for a bar that shows all the NFL games, and after trying many, this one is definitely it! The atmosphere is cozy and clean, with plenty of TVs for streaming multiple games. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks are great. It's a fantastic spot to watch any sport!

Update Review 12/8/2024: Came back today to watch the game, and I was disappointed. There were many TVs playing the Eagles game and random other content, with some TVs turned off. We asked if they could tune one TV to the Seahawks game, but they refused, saying it wasn't possible. This was surprising since we were told differently during our last visit. It felt like they made no effort to accommodate us. The whole point of going to a sports bar is to watch a game you can’t get at home, and unfortunately, this place didn’t live up to that expectation. We won’t be returning and now have to find another bar on the island, since we’ll be coming back often as residents. 1 star for poor...
