Philipsburg, the capital of Dutch St. Maarten, is a vibrant and picturesque Caribbean town with plenty to offer visitors. From its colorful buildings and bustling markets to its stunning beaches and turquoise waters, Philipsburg is a feast for the senses.

Came here for 1 reason, MAHO beach. After 3 attempts for a holiday, covid cancelled, the only way was a cruise, it was a day trip but what I wanted. Everything was what you see in pictures except the beach, it was not as well kept as you think, beer bottle tops just below the surface as well as ciggy butts, small sharp sticks from cocktails and nails plus a few other items. If its the thrill for the low planes you want GO its a must. You get pestered by ladies offering a massage or hair braiding constantly but hey! ignore. The beach beds are not cheap, $20usd. Sunset bar is a happening place lots of choice of food and drink but seating is all wood stools and the tops very uncomfortable as they measure about 8" square, not good for too long. An enjoyable day never the less....I want to...
