Auckland Kebab & Fried Chicken - Mission Bay — Attraction in Ōrākei

We ordered the chicken lollipops and fries. They were not that busy at all, just one family waiting for their food and us. It took them 25 minutes to prepare our order. Even the other family seemed to be waiting for a while and started to get impatient! Out of the 3 staff, one was on the phone in the kitchen throughout, one at the counter didn't seem to know what to do and only one really doing the heavy lifting. I cant even imagine how long the wait would be if they were busy! I guess, having been to their Sandringham branch and how well they handle their service there, we were expecting the same here. First time and quite disappointed.

Ordered Lamb on Rice for $17 so wasn't expecting a lot but it was overall dry, and bland. The lamb meat tasted like fake meat, saw staff member take lamb meat from a warming pot so not freshly made/cooked. Mustard honey sauce was weirdly slimey. Veggies are dry and seem to have been exposed to air for a long time as edges turned dark. Customer service was below average, it was not busy but customers were neglected with no positive customer service. We visited around 11pm on Tuesday, no other stores were serving food in Mission Bay and we stumbled across this gem. Food was super yummy, we had lamb on fries for our family group, they were kind enough to offer cups to share our drinks and an extra chips because we were sharing 3x plates for 6 people, 3x. Being children. Kids loved it and found the service very accomadating and unphased at the late times of orders, as most other stores we tried clearly had staff unwilling to serve any longer.
