This is a great 20 minute walk, in either direction, which connects up the shoreline of Hobson Bay from Martin Wilson field to Tinana Wilson beach. The walk itself is flat with the majority of it on a wooden walk way. This is slick and slippy in the wet, so be careful. It is used a lot by other walkers, cyclists and dog walkers. It's very popular. There is a mini water treatment station by the beach. It is possible to walk up it, again be careful in the wet; be aware that the metal covers on top of it become very, very hot in summer. It is possible to burn yourself quite badly, so keep little children under supervision. The beach is nice and is utilised as a launch pad for swimming, paddle boarding and beach combing. Very popular coastal walking route along Hobson Bay, connecting Remuera with Ōrākei Bay village. The pathway is a mixture of sealed / metal track and boardwalk, and is suitable for prams. It's fairly flat. Continue exploring, join up with the path looping around Ōrākei Basin, an ancient volcanic crater....
