Myself and My Wife redeemed a Gift Voucher of $100 to watch a movie and have a meal at Silky Otter Orakei. We handed the voucher over to the Cashier/Attendant and bought 2 x Senior tickets at a cost of $24, leaving $76.00 available for food & drink etc. as we advised to him at the time. My Wife ordered food and drinks and was told we had exceeded the voucher value by $24.00 which she duly paid. On checking our Bank account the next morning, we found that in fact we had paid for the entire meal & drinks totaling $124.00. The remainder on the voucher had not been used at all. I have sent three emails to Silky Otter Orakei getting one automated response advising they would respond 1 -2 business days. Maybe someone/staff can come in 30 min after serving food to take the...
Read moreThis theater used to be fantastic, but after my last visit, it seems the standards have declined. The couches in the lobby were stained and dirty. Additionally, they no longer offer glass bottles of Coke and soft drinks; instead, they’ve switched to bulky metal reusable bottles, which don’t exactly convey a “boutique” cinema experience. The tops of these bottles had fingerprints, raising concerns about their cleanliness. The only redeeming feature was the reclining movie theater seats. If you want to maintain your reputation as a boutique cinema, you need to return to the high standards...
