I attended Strong The Bays for over 100 classes and really enjoyed the workouts and some of the instructors. However, my experience with their customer service was shockingly poor and ultimately led me to leave. As a mum of two young kids and suffering from chronic migraines, I found the membership schedule wasn’t flexible enough for my needs. When I tried to change from a membership to individual class pack, I was met with cold, unsympathetic responses. Despite being able to provide strict instructions from my specialist about my condition and the need to stop exercising until we had finished the new course of treatment I was trying (2 months), there was no compassion or flexibility offered. This all happened 6-8 weeks ago, and I’ve been holding off on writing a review to make sure I wasn’t overreacting. Unfortunately, after talking to other mums who were also interested in joining, I feel it's important to share my experience. I even reached out to Head Office customer service, only to be redirected back to the same person, with responses that felt automated and impersonal. It was deeply disappointing. It's such a shame because I really loved the classes, and the two female instructors I had were fantastic. But the lack of understanding and poor customer service has left a bad impression and just know that if you're dealing with a personal situation, you might not get the support you're hoping for. Read moreOkay this Pilates class has genuinely changed my life!!!! I was a les mills goer for ages but tried Strong a few months ago and have never looked back. It is the perfect combination of low-impact Pilates, weight training, and cardio. I’ve just completed my 50th class and I have seen such a clear transformation in my body, not just how I look but also how I feel physically and mentally. I didn’t even know it was possible to see such big results from a workout this soon! It’s also the perfect workout if you need help being accountable because you can’t cancel more than 12 hours before the class or you can get charged. This has actually been a game changer for me lol because I book for 7am classes and I literally have to get up and go whether I’m feeling like it or not, rain or shine. The trainers are amazing and are so attentive and knowledgeable (s/o to Nikheil who does the morning classes). I'm absolutely thrilled with my Strong Pilates experience! The trainers are not only incredible at what they do but also incredibly supportive. Their expertise shines through in the challenging yet engaging workouts that seem to breeze by.
Waking up at 4:20am to make it to the 5am class three times a week has become a ritual I genuinely look forward to. Since joining in April, I've clocked in over 70 classes, and every single one has been worth it. The facilities are top-notch and provide a comfortable and inviting space to work out.
And let's talk about the little things that matter – like the cold towel at the end of each session. It's these thoughtful touches that make Strong Pilates stand out.
