Woolworths Mt Eden is a friendly, well-kept neighbourhood supermarket that thrives on convenience and community charm. Located near the bustling Mt Eden Village, it’s perfect for popping in on your way to work or collecting a few essentials during a day out. The store may be modest in size compared to larger suburban outlets, but its layout feels spacious and intuitive—aisles are tidy, well-labeled, and optimized for quick browsing.
The fresh produce section is consistently good: crisp leafy greens, colourful seasonal fruit, and regularly refreshed stock. You won’t find the vast variety of a big-box store, but what’s available is usually fresh and thoughtfully curated. The meat and deli counters offer everyday cuts and deli favourites; again, nothing extravagant, but reliable and sufficient for most household meals. The bakery offers a friendly selection—classic loaves, rolls, snacks—sometimes including locally made goodies that reflect Mt Eden’s diverse tastes.
Customer service is one of Mt Eden’s strengths: staff often greet you with a smile or a friendly “Hi!” and are quick to help, whether you’re at the checkout or have a question about a product. The self-checkout area runs smoothly, and there’s usually someone nearby to assist if needed. Security presence is minimal—not intrusive, but effective in maintaining a calm environment.
Pricing aligns with other Woolworths stores, and regular specials (via app or in-store flyers) mean you can still snag good deals in this central location. Parking is limited compared to suburban supermarkets, but street parking and the nearby village car parks make it manageable—just a little planning helps during peak evening hours or weekends.
Overall, Woolworths Mt Eden might be smaller than its outskirts counterparts, but its combination of quality produce, friendly service, and convenient village location makes it a terrific option for residents and...

Read morehonestly ridiculous service both in store and online shopping.
Every-time I do click and collect I use the text they send to say i am on my way. i then select the bay i am in. wait 10 minutes and still nothing. eventually go up to the door and ring the buzzer and all you can hear is people laughing and giggling. like I get having fun at work but seriously? i do click and collect for the quick and easy grocery shop. BUT NO every-time i click and collect from this store, KEEPING IN MIND ITS EXPENSIVE compared to other grocery stores, i always have to wait. what is the point of sending the text and getting customers to do the "I am on the way" or "I am in this bay" if you aren't even going to follow it and make use of it. honestly ridiculous.
then in store- i ran in to get some gluten free wraps only to find disgusting mouldy ones ON THE SHELF. when approached to someone at the check out. totally dismissive and just throw the wraps to someone behind a counter.
staff are always so so rude. declined card at self check-out? they make a big issue with it as if you are inconveniencing them. Self check out flashing red? again an inconvenience for them. leaving your basket at self-check out? again an inconvenience for them.
Honestly, if you are not happy working there then leave and find something else. We really should not be paying customers and being dismissed and sigh-ed at for every slight work...
