Loons is a fine establishment for outstanding live music. The staff are great and the venue is in the fun artsy township of Lyttelton. Inside, the focus is on live music events. The bar is great, but does not dominate the venue... take that as an indication of the venue's priorities. It's so wonderful to attend gigs in a safe clean space where music lovers can revel. Great venue, would put 5 starts but I reported a drunk patron that was being inappropriate and dangerous, and all the staff did was return him to his mates- bit disappointed as his behaviour didnโ€™t improve throughout...
