Absolutely loved my visit to NomNom Kitchen in Lyttelton! The food was delicious—fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour. I had a beautifully presented dish served with perfectly cooked rice and a colourful medley of stir-fried vegetables and meat. Every bite was satisfying. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the service was impressively fast. I barely had to wait for my order to arrive, which is always a big plus. The ambience of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with rustic wooden furniture, ambient lighting, and charming decor that gives it a relaxed yet stylish vibe. The mural and small details, like the hanging lanterns and Buddha statues, really add character to the space. Highly recommend if you’re in Lyttelton and craving some delicious Asian fusion! I’ll definitely be coming back.

On a busy Saturday Nomnom was one of the only places for lunch with space - really appreciate them being open so early in the day! While the service was great and the decor was nice, the food wasn't great. The tom yum soup was small and served with rice instead of noodles/crackers which I normally expect. It was pretty sparse and not very spicy - tasted more like fish sauce than anything. The stir fries were fine but basic.

What a fabulous find for lunch ! We had the mixed entree to start with then shared the chefs special lemon honey chicken and roast pork spicy stir fry with rice. Everything was delightful, fresh, gorgeous flavour n not too spicy! Didn’t wait for anything. Our hostess was so lovely, very helpful and super cheery. Will definitely be back!

We went to NomNom Lyttelton on Friday night, Two adults and a teenager. Extremely disappointed the meal was not good. The fried entire items deep fried but over half still cold in the centre. The mains the beef in two of the dishes was just not eatable fatty gristly not lean stir fried quality meet. I left my beef out of the combination meat curry I had, and then looked at my daughters’ plate and she had a pile of beef on the side which she refused to eat.

Then came to paying the bill. I was asked did I enjoy the meal my reply "I am sorry I am disappointed” Not another word was said and the eftpos transaction was quickly made.

NomNom is not a cheap place and I expected much better I will never return. I am a local and I will make sure all my friends in Lyttelton know of...

Really nice Asian food. Good friendly service. Food reasonably priced. I'm no gourmet but I really enjoyed my entrée of spiced squid and my main, the Prawn Tom Yum soup was absolutely divine. Coriander, ginger, mushroom, prawn, chili, all the flavours came through in different mouthfuls, definitely one of the best Tom Yums I've eaten anywhere (including Singapore, Thailand, India etc)

Good sized portions yet I left feeling I could have eaten more i.e. not bloated. Maybe it's a four and a half star with a reasonably pricy (I think, not necessarily an expert in these matters) wine and beer list.

I will definitely go again. They have takeaways too so will keep that...
