South Sea Art — Attraction in Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community

Great gallery however I'm afraid its let down by the follow up once art has been purchased. We bought our beautiful original Helena Verhaaren art piece, paying close to $2000 in mid Jan and were promised the authentication paperwork within a couple of weeks. However we heard nothing from Janet and it has taken us 2 months, 5 communications (all instigated by us,) and a lot of excuses and fobbing off on her part before we finally got emailed the documents we were promised on numerous occasions. And even then she has outright lied about posting the hard copies of the documents that very day as she promised when I spoke her on the phone 2 weeks ago, they still haven't turned up. Really disappointed in her customer service, it would appear that once she got her commission she didn't want to know about us...

I visited this art gallery in Russell and was warmly welcomed.The displays were tastefully and beautifully arranged allowing for good lighting and peace as one admired the various media on display by numerous artists.The Manageress, a well informed lady re artists and their works, invited me to attend Nemesh Art oil painting classes which I did and made new friends while having fun with my first attempt at oil painting. I have purchased 7 items from this art gallery, 3 of which are oil paintings by Nemesh as I love his style and technique with vivid colours.... I most certainly will be a regular customer in future as retail therapy and art help to destress me! To all the staff at South Sea Art... Thank you for a fabulous...

Visiting this Aladdin's cave of treasure's was an absolute delight, packed full of interesting and "one of kind" goodies 👍 and the best bit was meeting the 2 wonderful ladies who helped me find a perfect gift to take back to the UK 🇬🇧 The absolute "Cherry on the cake" 🍒 Russell is well worth a visit 👍💯 but this shop is definitely a "Must"!!
