Bit disappointing to be honest after reading other reviews and staying at other superior top 10 sites. We checked out three pitches but all were off level by 2-3 degrees so leveling chocks are required. We have a small well behaved dog. So were confined to the “dog section”. Not sure why when the park and the dog section isn’t full you end up with a pitch next to another vehicles rather than spaced out. During peak season you wouldn’t easily get out of your pitch if you had a Camper van or RV and wanted to leave for the day as no access path / road between pitches they all backed onto each other. We struggled with a van opposite with a kitchen tent and a RV next to us so had to drive over other sites to return after a day out, which wouldn’t be possible if the park was full. The park is mainly open plan with little privacy between pitches. We did ask to up grade to a deluxe pitch as no one else was parked on these sites so didn’t think our dog would be a issue and didn’t mind paying extra but this wasn’t possible due to our dog. The showers in the ladies one at the far end the thermostat just rotate freely with no heat control, the second shower I only got cold out with any pressure and with the thermostat on hot it dribbles out the shower head. The third shower I tried took a minute for warm water to come through not great when on a five minute timer. Lucky it’s wasn’t busy so I could find a working shower. Pros good location for Russell township and Long Bay Beach, the staff were friendly.

The last 7 days I have been at the Russell Top10 Holiday Park. It's been an amazing week. It's such a beautiful place, awesome Staff, great facilities and camp site, fantastic location. I only used the car once, it's handy to literally everywhere. I'm so glad I stayed. It sure has been a great base, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, and harbour a few minutes walk away and Long beach a few minutes walk the opposite direction. Both have been great for kayaking and swimming. I did plenty of my usual physical activities, walks, swims, and kayaking. Highlights would have to be the kayaking and the Bay of Islands Coastline Walk which included two Ferry rides. Four Square Russell was my supermarket of choice. It was the best Four Square Supermarket I have ever been in. I loved every minute I was here. Highly recommend Russell Top10 Holiday Park as the place to stay.

Stayed at an unpowered site for four nights and are satisfied customers. Park is clean and you can’t beat the location; ten minutes walking and you’re in town one direction and at a lovely swimming beach the other. Perks: Strong unlimited wifi throughout the park; plenty of laundry machines and three clothes lines; large kitchen with ample cook tops and sinks, soap and dish towels provided; Loved the covered patio off the kitchen, great for alfresco dining and watching the sunset. Only one complaint —wish there was better night lighting from the unpowered sites to the bathroom. Definitely need a torch once the sun sets. Lots of steps and uneven pavement around the facilities so probably not good for anyone camping with disabilities.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Russell TOP 10 Holiday Park, and the experience left us with wonderful memories. Nestled in a picturesque environment, the park is a true gem, surrounded by vibrant flowers that add a touch of beauty to every corner.

The accommodation surpassed our expectations in many ways. The rooms, though housed in an older building, exuded a charming and timeless appeal. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the well-maintained facilities showcased the dedication of the staff. The kitchen was a highlight, equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The laundry facilities were also top-notch, making it convenient for families like ours to travel light.

One of the standout features for families was the fantastic play area for kids. Our children had a blast, and it was evident that careful thought had been put into creating a space that caters to the joy of younger guests.

The location of the holiday park proved to be super handy for exploring the surrounding attractions. Flagstaff, beaches, and other points of interest were within easy reach, allowing us to make the most of our time in this beautiful part of New Zealand.

The bathroom facilities were another commendable aspect of our stay. The super clean bathrooms and refreshing showers added a touch of luxury to our camping experience. It was evident that cleanliness is a top priority for the staff at Russell TOP 10 Holiday Park.

However, no review is complete without mentioning a few areas for improvement. The internet connection was somewhat weak, which could be a concern for those who rely heavily on staying connected during their travels. Additionally, we noticed the absence of toys or baby books in the TV room/library, a feature that we have enjoyed at other holiday parks.

Despite these minor drawbacks, our overall experience at Russell TOP 10 Holiday Park was overwhelmingly positive. The friendly staff, clean facilities, and idyllic setting make it a place we would happily return to in the future. If you're seeking a charming retreat with a touch of nostalgia and modern amenities, Russell TOP 10 Holiday Park is a fantastic choice for your next getaway in...

We have just arrived back from our camping stay for five nights over the new year period. We loved the location. We parked up and then never used the car once. We walked and took the ferry everywhere. Fantastic being so close to Russell township and to the lovely Long Beach. Our site was great and very spacious. Yes it was busy and noisy at times but it was normally shut down not long after 10pm. We knew we were there in the peak time so we expected it. The facilities were great and very clean. Lovely showers. The playground was very cool and having the jumping pillow was good fun for the kids. Awesome being able to buy cold drinks and ice blocks / ice creams from the reception and they were all really reasonable too. The ladies on reception were also very friendly. Check in was a breeze. The internet is fantastic in the campground too. The only thing I will say was the pathway to the side gate also meant to be a road within the campground was taken over by residents of the annuals. We had to side step around kids bikes and guide ropes and at one stage a kids paddling pool. If anyone had a pram or wheelchair they wouldn't be able to get through as well as there is no way you could get a car through so this is something that needs to be addressed. Just comes down to common courtesy. We thank you Top 10 Russell for a great stay and we look forward to returning...
