I recently went on the New Zealand adventure and I can say without a doubt I was not disappointed. This was my first visit to the country and what a great way to see the south side. The journey was perfectly planned out with plan B ready to go for when the weather wasn’t ideal to do the initial itinerary. Phil and Mike were great tour guides and made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and well taken care of. The places we stayed at were unique and comfortable, and the food for the most part was delicious. There was never any rush to complete the hikes and you could take your own pace. Which was good for me since I was still pushing through the jet lag. I would suggest maybe going a few days before to try and adjust your time if there’s a big difference for you. Regardless, the landscape was beautiful and the trip was informative. This is a great trip to try, if you want to see lots of different terrains New Zealand has to offer and not have to think too much about where you’re going. They’ll handle everything. What made the trip extra special was that I got along with everyone else in the group and was lucky to be traveling with kind, friendly strangers that I can now call my friends. The only down side is not knowing what to wear and pack (even though they give you a list) my body temperature jumps around personally so trying to make it all fit in a camp duffle bag was challenging for me. However, by the end of it you’ll get the hand of it and luckily you can leave things in the bus before you trek out. A couple of our group members struggled a bit with motion sickness so I also suggest if you do too, to bring some medication or a eucalyptus/menthol balm to help with the nausea. Make sure your shoes are good and waterproof and away you go to...

Read moreOur tour guide was fabulous. She did it all- her driving was impeccable, cooking excellent, attentiveness to detail unsurpassed, and knowledge of NZ is incredible. She not only tended to all of our needs but anticipated them! The hikes were outstanding. Some were short, some long, some straight up, some pretty flat - just a nice variety. The hikes represented different types of biomes so we feel as though we really got to see a lot of NZ. There are so many places of beauty in NZ. Each day the hike produced yet, another gorgeous view. Accommodations were fantastic! This trip was the experience of a lifetime for us. We wouldn’t have traded it for the world! And, of course, just as impressive as NZ’s endless beauty was the ability to get to spend 12 glorious days with getting to...
