Hopukiore (Mount Drury) Reserve — Attraction in Bay of Plenty

I didn't visit this place I was just looking for surf. It was onshore and over crowded. Ended up surfing at Papāmoa where it was onshore and I was alone. It's nice to be alone with the ocean. But technically you are not alone because you are connected to every thing that is connected to the water. Via rivers you're connecting to the mountains. If water is inside my body it becomes part of my body for a while. So when I am in the water I must therefore become the water. I love this planet we're hurtling...

Great kids park at the base of Mount Drury, slides, swings, roundabouts and climbing frames. Nice, large grassed area for picnic. Walk up Mount Drury to sea the ocean and inner harbour.
