I don’t like posting negative reviews of hospitality businesses because I know it’s a tough time out there, but both my partner and I were so disappointed in our dinner tonight something has to be said.
Both pizzas were extremely average, the bases so thin like it was a store bought pita/tortilla, the Narnia stated smoked bacon but had some kind of minced ham looking meat on it, the emperor pizza used very dry shredded chicken like they’d bought a rotisserie chicken and diced it up, and had no base sauce.
The cheese didn’t taste like mozzarella like the menu stated, but like a cheap tasty/ Colby cheese.
The loaded wedges looked like they use the cheapest quality wedges as every third wedge had black spots/bruising, and again featured the same minced ham looking meat instead of bacon.
They also had a young child of maybe 11-12yo serving tables on a Saturday evening.
Even the Heineken had a strange taste like the tap lines or the glass was dirty.
I saw who looked like the owner walk past us many times and would have told him feedback personally but he never checked in on how our meal was.
The only reason I’m not giving one star is because the lady working the bar/till alone had friendly service.
We ate as much as we could as we were both starving and also hate wasting food.
I’ve been here many times years ago and it was always great. Now, I...
Read moreMy new favourite place in!! Please read! The Pizza Library is a MUST DO experience. The ambience, vibe, food, and drinks at this place are unbeatable! In my previous experience at this place there was a small misunderstanding, but the wonderful owner Mark actually reached out to me personally to apologize on behalf of his team and amend things; which is something I've never seen before.
So, in my second visit at this place I was able to meet Mark and the team, and I have to say, my wife and I had our best ever restaurant experience to date. I could see how Mark intentionally made each person in that place feel welcomed, with warmth and a very professional yet kind manner. The pizza's, as always, were superb and delicious. We were also able to try some specialty cocktails from the extremely talented bar-tend, my favourite being a cucumber cocktail which was so crisp and refreshing. I've heard the Pizza Library is hoping to host a cocktail creation course, which I really hope to attend! I couldn't speak more highly of this place and can't wait to come back here. Once again, and huge thank you to Mark and his amazing team for the experience and care they offer to their valued...
Read moreOnce upon a time, Pizza Library was a cult classic — now it's more like a forgotten footnote scribbled on a napkin and tossed in the bin.
Let’s talk about the base. This thing wasn’t a pizza base, it was a culinary cry for help. Tougher than an old jandal left in the sun too long and paler than a backpacker on day one in New Zealand. Not a glisten of oil or the faintest whisper of yeast. It had all the flavour and charisma of a stale papadum, only less exciting and somehow more depressing.
And then we get to the toppings. I’ve seen more passion in a pre-packed petrol station sandwich. The cheese? Cheap, claggy, and suspiciously plasticky. The rest? A loose scatter of ingredients that felt like they were applied by a disinterested intern blindfolded on a trampoline.
And the price? Forty dollars. For that? For this sad frisbee of regret? I’d have had more joy lighting a $50 note on fire and roasting a supermarket frozen pizza over it.
Pizza Library, I loved you once. But this? This was a Shakespearean tragedy served in a box that had more flavor than the pizza.
Avoid unless you're after an expensive existential crisis...
