I recently visited Claudelands Park in Hamilton, and I had such a wonderful time! This park is a true gem in the city, offering a perfect balance of green space, recreational facilities, and natural beauty. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a peaceful walk, a family outing, or even a bit of sport, Claudelands Park has something for everyone.

The park itself is large and beautifully maintained, with plenty of lush lawns, mature trees, and scenic paths perfect for walking or jogging. I especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great place to relax or unwind. The walking paths are well-kept and offer some lovely views, including parts that run alongside the Waikato River, which makes for a picturesque backdrop. It’s the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a quiet moment in nature.

There’s also a great range of facilities at Claudelands Park, including sports fields and courts, which are ideal for outdoor activities like cricket, soccer, or tennis. I saw several groups enjoying games while I was there, and it added to the lively yet relaxed vibe of the park. If you’re looking for a place to get active or have a friendly match with friends, this park is perfect.

For families, the park has plenty of open space for picnics and playing, and I noticed a well-maintained playground for children, which was a hit with the kids. There are also plenty of shaded areas, so you can easily find a spot to enjoy your time without being in the direct sun.

Overall, my visit to Claudelands Park was incredibly enjoyable. It’s a beautiful, versatile park that caters to a wide range of activities, and it’s definitely a spot I’ll return to....

Hi - this was a visit to the Covid testing centre - I had/have a cough but I knew I hadn't been anywhere - except I had been in the Spotlight Car park and I worried about those Escapee's - but felt I should be ok Still worrying though! The Test centre took a while to find and it felt very strange - like a Bad dystopian disaster movie - We drove along - going through open passageways till we arrived at the entrance. We were ushered in - a car was in front and another behind - Wow even the cars were Socially distanced with 1.5metres between. The Nurses were Very helpful supportive and friendly. They explained the testing and were gentle - it was a very easy process. I got my NEGATIVE result the following day by Txt -...

The Claudlands Park is a fantastic place for families, with beautiful, lush greenery spread throughout, c The park is filled with an array of swings and play areas designed to keep children engaged and entertained. The playgrounds have everything from slides to seesaws, providing plenty of activities for kids of all ages.

In one section, a group of boys can be seen enjoying a lively game of football, which adds to the vibrant energy of the park. Overall, this park is ideal for families seeking a safe and enjoyable environment where children can play freely, explore nature, and...

Went to the Craft and Quilt Show today. Clean and tidy inside and out. More seating available this time around if you needed a rest break. Quilt area seemed smaller but lots of quilts to admire and inspire 😁. Most stalls same people as previous years. Food OK but costly as usual. Not as crowded today. Only gripe is having to pay for parking - $5 is a rip-off, $3 would be more reasonable for the little time most people spend there. Access to free parking was closed and nowhere on road to park, so no choice 😡

Great playground. Great climbing practice for littles with grippy sloping areas. Wouldn't bother on weekend at least while it's new, packed. There's always more we think they could do for our particular aged/capacity individual. But it's a great playground. Water play, swings, slides, spins, those terribly unbouncy trampolines. The gardens around are just lovely, hope they keep that up. Flying fox too Love the roller slide. Terrible on a bony butt but reminds me of my childhood one outside Waiuku Library
