Nori Tori Japanese Eatery — Restaurant in Hamilton

I finally tried Nori Tori Japanese in Hamilton, and wow, it’s such a gem! The food feels like proper comfort eats with a Japanese twist.

My boyfriend ordered the Karaage chicken curry crispy chicken on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a rich curry sauce that was warm and satisfying. The little side of salad and tempura poached egg made it feel like a complete meal.

I got the spicy chicken donburi, and that dish really delivered, bold, fiery, but balanced with fresh veggies and rice. It’s one of those meals where you just keep going back for another bite.

Inside the shop, the vibe is casual and welcoming. They’ve got fresh sushi options displayed at the counter, and everything looked so colourful and inviting.

Price-wise, it’s pretty fair for the quality and portion sizes, though I’d say go in hungry because these bowls are filling.

The food was absolutely amazing 👏 even my dad said it was pretty good (he is very unique about his comments) the service was very good and the food came within 10-15 minutes which is surprisingly fast. Even so, the appearance of the food was great. I had their teriyaki beef upon and it was a perfect blend of Japanese upon and Korean beef (I forgot the name) the broth was well flavored. The noodles were nice and cooked. The music was a mix of English Japanese and Korean which I think was intriguing. The place was decorated lovely and gave a nice and chill vibe. Their prices was also very well thought out. It wasn't too expensive but wasn't too cheap. The only thing that I didn't like was another family right before we came and ate. Amazing spicy Tonkotsu Ramen!! The spice paste it’s fully mixed in so you get enjoy the creamy rich pork broth before mixing it in yourself. The pork is super tender! It tasted and looked like the it had been seared (with a torch) prior to serving which gave the meat an extra texture but flavour. Bonus no soggy seaweed as it was placed on the side. 10/10

Wonderful friendly staff. Even catered at opening (9am on a Wednesday) to server Ramen.

Atmosphere wise, the shop was just perfectly presented. Clean, tidy and the sweet anime collectables placed on the back wall were a sweet touch.
