We attended the bottomless brunch to celebrate a birthday, and from the moment we walked in, we were made to feel incredibly uncomfortable. A young female server named Jade greeted us with what felt like clear discrimination. We were not welcomed properly, nor were we given any explanation of the rules or food options. Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout our visit.

At one point, the server tripped into one of our guests, and then used that incident as justification to accuse the guest of being intoxicated — despite the fact that she had only had one drink. This resulted in the guest being refused service, which was completely unreasonable. Shortly after, our entire table was cut off from drinks 30 minutes before the end of the session. The reason given was that we were “skulling” drinks, which felt like an unfair and baseless accusation. The situation left us feeling judged and singled out, and we could not shake the feeling that our race and appearance played a part in how we were treated.

Jade later misrepresented our behaviour to her manager, and no effort was made to hear our side of the story or de-escalate the situation. We are still in shock at how poorly we were treated, and this experience has left a lasting negative impression.

The only highlight of the visit was the male staff member who eventually took over our table. He was kind, respectful, and even apologised on behalf of the team. His professionalism stood out, and we are grateful for his efforts to make us feel somewhat valued.
