Lovely place for a stroll or a bike ride or jog. The experience is made 10x better when the tide is in! The first time I rode my bike around the estuary track, I was an overweight smoker and had no issues thanks to the lack of hills! Also, there's lots of pathways branching off to various parts of Orewa, Red Beach and Millwater so the main path acts like a mini highway. Good for a leisurely stroll home from one of Orewas many watering holes. Overall probably the best estuary around.
