EcoZip Adventures Kaikoura — Attraction in Kaikōura

When you go to Kaikoura this has to be a must of things to do on your travels. This experience will blow your mind away. The 1st step is when you meet the lovely Amanda at the shop, the explanation of the tour and what needs to be done was easy and simple like me and very clear to understand. Amanda is definitely the meet & greet person I needed to help make a yes were doing this tomorrow, nga mihi Amanda. Then we met our driver Finn who took us to our next destination and gave us a vocal guided tour about the places we passed and showing us the mountain and zip lines on the way, nga mihi Finn. This was an incredible and amazing experience. My 2boys 12 & 13 absolutely loved it. I was very nervous & anxious but our experienced guides Conner & Jaden were excellent explaining the safety around the rules and equipment clear and easy to understand and in a way that made you feel you were in safe hands and it showed with their communication & team work too. Also to see Api out there doing inspection checks is really great to see and made me feel topped up and reassured about the safety and team work they provide in between rides. We also met Tim who drove us up the mountain to our 1st zipline ride and then found out that Tim and Api made all the tracks and helped with making this adventure and experience possible for people to enjoy was very impressive to hear & definitely shocked with the timeframe it was completed. Ngamihi korua. The walks in between the zip lines are refreshing and both guides let you pace them in your own time. The knowledge that they share with you about surroundings of the farm, trees & beautiful Maunga are great to know and a good way to feel relaxed and calm before each zip line ride and make you feel a better connection to their rohe. Well I went from being so very nervous and anxious to experiencing the best & most thrilling time in my entire life. I thought 3hrs was going to be too long when it was over it seemed to quick & I wanted to do it all again. The amazing and breath taking views were priceless, the feeling of the 1st ride was was scary as hell but so very worth it. The last ride, I did with no hands, my anxiety and nerves were filled with confidence & a sense of freedom and a great way to start your day in Kaikoura. Arohamai for the long novel & I hope I got everyone's name right. A huge & enormous thankyou to you all & for everything you do to make this experience so memorable & infectious to bring the rest of my whanau back. It was definitely money well worth spent & I will gladly pay for my adult children, they have seen the videos & a few have said stuff that, no way naah!!! Visited EcoZip Kaikoura with my husband on our honeymoon and we were very lucky & blessed to have had the ultimate VIP experience (i.e. had the whole tour to ourselves) with the best & clearest weather we could ever ask for 💛

We had booked this online prior, checked in for the 1pm time slot, and were introduced to our driver Jayden, and our guides Fin and Kerry. All staff were really friendly, genuine, went above and beyond to ensure our safety and made us feel at ease, especially Fin when I was really nervous before the first zip line 🥹

For those afraid of heights and/or non-adrenaline junkies (like I am), sign up for this anyway- you’ll be in the best hands with the 5 best zip lines ever! With their shortest zip line @ 290m and longest @ 620m, this experience was definitely worth every dollar spent!! (Since other companies’ longest zip line is only @ 240m 👀)

We got treated to the magical views of Kaikoura with the least effort on our part- we were delivered safely up to the mountains by the Unimog and only had to walk on a gravel path a little bit here and there before whizzing down to the next zip line station 🤭
