Emailed GC to see it they could match the price of some Air Rifle pellets. 1st they said they could. Brilliant I thought so I ordered 2 tins, then the chap emailed me the cost, it went from being able to match the price to charging $4 more per tin than the other shop, so I emailed him back asking about what about matching the price.....no reply so I emailed him back again. 3 days later I got a reply saying how he had a rostered day off and now needed to confirm competitors price. Pretty easy its on their site, then he could confirm one price for .22cal but not the .177cal. wanted me to take a screen shot of price and quantity as I believe it was too hard for him to ring and ask about the price for .177cal. I was getting the impression from his emails that he didn't understand the difference between the .22 and .177 tins as he was talking about how GC charge more for 300 qty tins and the other shop charges less for 200qty tins. I explained to him the difference about quantities and calibers. At the end I was so frustrated that I brought the pellets elsewhere. What amazes me is how GC can charge up to $7 more for a tin of pellets where's smaller outfits charge way less. I gave GC a 2nd chance after the less than average service i'd received previously. Def wont be giving them a 3rd chance. I sent Michael Cooper the emails 21 days ago and no response.....im never buying anything from GC again, funny who they always put it back on the customers. I brought my 1st Air Rifle from GC, It came up from CHCH and when I enquired if it was new as it had been marked and scratched I was told I should have asked for a box...And here I was thinking if it was new it should have come in a box, but no its the customers fault. I invite everyone who reads this post to join me. Does anyone remember when customer service was king and customers where treated with respect and manners?? lets give our money to the smaller businesses that treat us right instead of bigger businesses that couldn't care if we spent our hard earned money there or not. GC doesnt give a monkeys about their customers, they have proved it time and again. Support small...
Read moreIn February this year I purchased a brand new Zeiss Conquest HD5 3-15x42 T LOCK PLEX scope from Gun City in Auckland. Several days later I noticed that the screw on the elevation turret was slightly burred and was missing some paint. Clearly some one had removed the turret at some point. I returned the scope to Gun City for replacement. One week later on contacting them I was told that a new turret screw only had been ordered. I reluctantly accepted this and picked up the scope but have had no further communication from Gun City. I now see on the internet that Gun City sell second hand scopes and hope that I have not been sold a second hand scope. Very disappointing.
Friday March 9, 1130 hours Thank you for your prompt response however despite repeated telephone calls leaving my name and number each time no one from Gun City has not had the courtesy to call me back - hence the disappointment and one star rating . When I received no response from Gun City I emailed both the local Zeiss Distributors and Zeiss themselves and have received a prompt response. They are bringing in a replacement turret elevation screw for me and offered assistance with the replacement and any other issues associated with this purchase. Maybe there's a lesson here for you in terms of communication and customer service. As an avid hunter and reloader I will think long and hard before dealing with...
Read moreterrible service. Lack of professionalism shown by the manager is awful. As a regular shooter of both pistols and other firearms, I would never ever buy off Guncity again. And I would deter anyone else from making the mistake I have made. Go to Serious shooters instead. They up hold there end of the consumer guarantees act. And are all round exceptional to deal with. Guncity sells defective products. And sadly does not up hold there legal or moral requirements to either have it fixed, or refunded, or even a store credit. Highly disappointed. And where there is smoke there is fire. There are so many poor reviews online for Guncity. I should of listened. The mark ups are horrendous too. DO NOT BUY ANTHING...
