The person who runs this place is so unprofessional, inconsiderate and not helpful at all.
They booked my room to other people within my FULLY PAID booking dates while i was away for a worktrip without even trying to contact me.
I booked a room for 13 nights (April10 - April23) I arrived at the place 3 hours past my check-in time, I found the manager cleaning the downstairs room suitable for disabled people as the sign showed.
He told me that the exact room that I booked-in wasn't ready at all. The manager told me to stay at the disabled room downstairs and he'll have my exact room rdy next morning. I decided to let it slide since I still had a room but it would've been nice if I got the room I paid for the first day.
But then an appalling and frustrating thing happened again.
I had to go to an unexpected work trip from Friday till Saturday (April14 until April 22) which is still within my FULLY PAID BOOKING so I had to unfortunately leave my booked room for a while with the plan of coming back.
The night that I came back(around 1am-ish of 23rd April) when I opened the door to my room, there was other people in my room, I found out that the manager booked the room to other people while I was away.
I called the manager, he was so rude on the phone, he told me that the reason why he booked it to other people was because I already left🙄didn't even bother to contact me to check with me or let me know, I didn't think I had to tell them my whereabouts to keep MY FULLY PAID room, since first of all it's none of his business, and second I never had to let other places I booked before know. This motel never even mentioned it either anywhere that I had to. The manager told me to leave the motel because they're fully booked.
I was so tired and sleepy from the worktrip and the last thing I needed to hear was I was being kicked out of the room that I...
Read moreThe deluxe room was a good size it seemed clean enough - some age showing in shower and fittings- nothing flash. Was quiet but traffic was minimal when we stayed. Bed was very firm. (hard) Hand wash container in bathroom empty (small cake of soap supplied)The communal kitchen for breakfast is nothing like the well stocked clean room shown in a photo on another website. We knew is was basic but a loaf of sandwich bread in the frig, cheap butter spreads, large jars marmite/jam (no sachets) everything shared with other people putting hands and utensils in the containers, milk past the use by date, small half used bag of muesli or cornflakes, sticky utensils , no dishwash, dirty wash cloths. I took utensils to our room and washed with boiling water and cooked my own porridge in the microwave in our room - partner went to McDs. A traveller used a cup and just rinsed it and put is back in the communal pile. This is during covid ! Room had kettle, toaster, glasses and cups, 2 sachets each of tea coffee sugar no milk and no utensils. Just the handbasin to wash them. I left our dirty dishes in the hope that someone would take them and wash them properly. Given the state of the kitchen I wonder if covid precautions were taking place elsewhere.i.e. sanitation.||We had an average takeaway from the restaurant downstairs - covid protocol not observed. Parking is available but tight. A one time stay for us. Was close to where we needed to be. Was contactless service. ||Might have been value for money if breakfast was actually a no...
Read moreCheck in states between 2pm and 8pm got a call at 3pm asking what time we would be there. No actual office that I saw the manager just walked out as I parked the car and showed me the room then went to deal to a tradesperson in the room next door.
It was a dash check in as we had to rush to an event which was fine for us.
On booking I had stated we needed a ground level room due to recent leg surgery this was missed and had to settle for a room upstairs. The towels provided are very tiny suitable for a 5 year old but not a growen adult. Breakfast is a calci yum milk, a banana and a yogurt (not ideal if lactose intolerant). (Continental is generally cereal fruit and toast but this was not the case) barely any milk for a coffee either.
The worst part is the duvet has mould and stains in it peel sheets back to find stains and other people's hair laying under the sheets too.
At 12.30am when we got back from event, I found we just accept that it is what it is and not call the after hours number and deal to it at check out.
At check out a lousy sorry I'll sort that now was given which was to late as only stayed the one night.
On top of this the bathroom wasn't clean and shower had stains in the corners.
Very ran down.
