We had a family get together with a small picnic under a lovely tree in the shade. The park is beautiful and the large mature trees are fabulous. Some have been standing for more than 40 years. We used to come here when I was a girl and played on a bough of one of the large trees which bounced us up and down. It eventually was taken down and we mourned its loss. So it's not just a concert venue but a beautiful place to enjoy. The only thing I didn't like was the noisy tractor which carries children and families on a tour of the grounds disturbing our peace. However I don't begrudge them that because kids would just love it so much and it's only one dollar for a ride. 😁 There's a wonderful...

Went to see the dinosaurs in the park with my then 6yr old nephew,we really enjoyed it besides the fact there was no seating if you felt unwell you had to sit on the ground but other than that the dinosaurs tour was fantastic through the native unkempt bush that is there even on a normal day when the dinosaurs Arnt there it's still a nice walk through the Bush and just across the way there's a zoo (which is free entry) and bowl of brooklands which both are nice to visit on a sunny day you could take some duck dood to feed the ducks as well at the bowl of brooklands. Hope this helped you...

Brookland Park and Zoo are beautiful place to go see for yourself. The park great place to take a walk around and see the water fall ,buy a ice cream, or have a meal, walk your dogs, run around the park, see the Christmas lights close to Christmas time of the year's. The zoo good place for a picnic with a family and friend ,see all the animals what are in the zoo of Brooklands Park. And see Ross the cat 🙀 to on your walks around the walk way in the park 🏞 area. And see the eels in pond where water fall is. Have a great time together at the park...

Brooklyn Park and Zoo is an amazing place for kids! The park has tons of space to run around, with cool playgrounds and picnic areas that are perfect for family fun. The zoo part is really exciting too—there are so many animals to see, and the exhibits are interesting and easy to explore. You can learn about different animals and watch them play. There are also fun activities and educational programs that make the visit even more exciting. It’s a great spot for a day out, full of adventure and learning!

Seeing a Capybara was honestly so cool, I wasn’t expecting him at all. It’s very small but super cool and worth a look. I heard someone say they were closing soon which makes me sad, get in and visit if you can! It’s free and they had a cool little park for kiddies and an ice cream/drink truck too. The capybara, turtles and kunekune were so cool. Also the bird enclosure was so cool. So many bright beautiful birds.

Nice park for walking in wet. It has an art gallery in a historic hospital. A Chinese pagoda that protects you from the Rain. Plants are in a home garden setting in places which is good for home garden ideas. Centrally located and a good add on to Zoo and main park visit.
