Pukekura Park Fernery and Display Houses — Attraction in North Island

I was so captivated with the plants displayed. I love how there are different houses for the plants. It is very well curated. There are even chairs and places for picture purposes. I love how you enter the houses, there’s a mini tunnel you go under - it somehow builds an anticipation, the flowers coming into view! Oh there are steps leading to the houses, but they’re short and safe. It is so beautiful to take photos here. It’s cool that you don’t have to pay anything to enter!

Wow! Love this place.

Ever since I was a kid this was one of my favorite spots. The fact my own kids also feel the same way shows this place is special.

Each display house is linked by earth tunnels, still love walking through these tunnels into each stunning display house (which are big glass houses).

Love the soothing atmosphere of the Fernery. When it is lit up during the annual Festival of Lights (this year it wasn't) it is always a highlight... And...

you never see every plant here, the more you look the more there are!! is definitely a must do and do again if you're in the area. i always love coming to the fernery, especially now that it's almost spring it got me very excited. the tunnels are always so cool, the fountains very peaceful. the flowers were super lovely and vibrant. the lady who worked there was very nice too. and of course, can't forgot the adorable goldfish. i love them...
