Do pay close attention to where you are going. I started off on one of the easy "family friendly" trails and ended up getting lost on the mountain biking route for 3 hours. Most of the trails are not marked on Google Maps. There are many trails signs along the way, but only showing the names of the current track, no overall map. Read moreWe did the Redwood Quarry Loop. There are a lot of hikes in this area but you can just drive here, select a hike and follow the signs. Another great app to find hikes in this area or New Zealand is AllTrails app/website.
Overall very nice area and it's humbling to walk between the giant trees. The Tree Walk (for which you need to buy tickets) does not seem worth in in my opinion.
