Lakeland Queen Cruises — Attraction in North Island

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING!😒 PAID $118 FOR ME & MY HUSBAND, WAS TOTALLY UNIMPRESSED WITH THE FOOD LAY OUT AS THAT CONSISTED OF COUPLE SALADS WHICH WAS JUST FANCY LETTUCE FOR ONE SELECTION AND BOILED POTATOES WITH HONEY MUSTARD ADDED, ROAST POTATOES WHICH WERE JUST OVEN BAKED WHICH YOU'D DO AT HOME FOR A QUICK MEAL, GRILLED SWEETCORN WHICH LOOKED DRY ASF, A PLATE FULL OF MEAT PATTIES WHICH YOU'D HAVE AS FINGER FOOD AT A KIDS BIRTHDAY, CUT IN HALF PRE COOKED HELLERS SAUSAGES & DRY BBQ DRUMSTICKS AND THEN DESSERT WAS JUST WORSE! JUST A BIG BOWL OF FRUIT MIXED TOGETHER FOR A FRUIT SALAD, A BOWL OF CUT IN HALF KIWIFRUIT, A PLATE FULL OF HOMEBRAND CHEESECAKES CUT INTO BITE SIZE BITS & LITTLE TEA CAKES.

FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU PAY, YOU WOULD EXPECT A GOOD DECENT KAI. THAT WAS NO WHERE NEAR RESTURANT QUALITY FOOD. AFTER A LONG HARD WEEK OF MAHI, YOUD WANT TO RELAX, TAKE IN THE AWESOME VIEWS AND ENJOY A GOOD FEED SO WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING, HIGHLY REGRETTED GOING, WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE.

We went on the evening cruise as a treat for Fathers Day, we were visiting for the weekend. The food was incredibly disappointing, the hot food was cold, and had obviously been out for quite some time. Meats were all over cooked and ribs were disgustingly greasy, potatoes were undercooked, salads were drowning in mayonnaise, breads were stale...... The chocolate mousse wasnt even edible, fruit salad was browning and was clearly a mix of old and new salads. We are Kiwis and it's very embarrassing that this is what we are serving to our tourists!! This has the potential to be a really great experience as the view is lovely, it's a very peaceful cruise, the staff were all friendly. Unfortunately it is not something I would ever reccomend as a must do, it's a total disappointment for Rotorua's Tourism Industry as we have spent 4 days doing many of the attractions on offer in Rotorua and have been well impressed by everything we have done except for...

Went on 8am Breakfast sailing. Food was left over from earlier sailing I think and was only just warm. Hashbrowns were dehydrated and hard. Boat itself need a good clean on windows inside. However it was lovely just gliding along listening to the rippling water, watching the birds and thinking how amazing and lovely nature is when suddenly it was all ruined by LOUD pop music. We couldnt hear each other across the table and I saw others having the same problem. Why would you play it loud or even at all on that kind of lake cruise. Went outside to get away from it but then the smokers came out and most threw their smoke in the lake. I would go again because it is absolutely lovely on the water but only if the loud pop music was turned down drastically or stopped altogether.
