While most visitors flock to the famous Red Shed and the Glenorchy Wharf, a hidden gem awaits just behind the shed, right on the waterfront. A row of subtle willow trees, partially submerged in the shallow water, provides a tranquil scene that is just as iconic as the area's more popular landmarks.
This spot is a photographer's favorite. With the right conditions, the calm water creates perfect reflections of the willows and the surrounding mountains, creating an almost surreal and peaceful atmosphere. We went on a windy day, which made it hard to get that perfect reflection shot, so I'd recommend visiting at dawn or dusk for the best results.
