Fabulous museum. An absolute treasure. Organized, very cleverley set out. Full of interesting historical facts and stories and eye catching displays. My kind of museum. It felt so clean and tidy and very much loved. We will definitely be back as I didn't manage to get through it all as we ran out of time. 2 favourite exhibitions were the Time line from Kupe's arrival to present day. It might be small, but you will be amazed at what you learn about the history of the area and particularly the information about Capt James Cook's legacy and contribution to New Zealand. The movie, not so much but the degree of information in the displays was great and a real credit to the team who have put it all together and who voluntarily run the museum.
