The worst experience I had! I would like to give a negative point. A story to short, I informed the resort for late arrival, however the door is locked and the manager Adam is very rude and shout to us. He has very poor customer service skills and no respect at all. Terrible WI-FI signal. Cannot connect to WI-FI whole day. The facilities is old. Spa in the bathroom doesn't work at all.

Here is the detailed story. I had called & emailed Beachside Resort that I will arrive late then they emailed me back with the afterhours instruction. In the email, it mentioned our room is in Ground floor and the door will be unlock. On the checking in day, we found the our room is NOT in Ground floor and door is locked. Then we walk around and try to find our room and then the reception. The guests in other room had their windows open and looked at us for a while then we asked them if they know the reception's location. Then we try the intercom ring in front of reception, it doesn't work well even though we followed the note "press firmly & hold". After several attempts, we call them and leave a voice message and await for their call. Suddenly, a guy (Adam, the resort manager) shows up & shout to us & blame us. He shout: why did u knock the other guest's door. He was very rude. We were so shocked, then we tell him the door is locked. He keeps shouting and doesn't apologise. We end up with a very disappointed night. In next day morning, I bring my luggage to downstairs and saw Adam. He doesn't even say a word to me. I wouldn't recommend this resort to you, and please go to other accommodations with respectful and professional...

Upon arrival there was no greeting, no small talk and no information given on the resort other than how to get our room. Felt like we were an inconvenience to even be there. Not sure if this was the manager or the owner, but some customer service training would be suggested or a different career path where they are not customer facing. Knowing that the Coromandel has been hit hard with bad weather and road closures limiting visitor numbers in recent times, it's actually astounding that this is the level of welcome visitors are getting here. No suggestions of activities or places to check out-no interaction what so ever. I wouldn't normally leave a negative review but it's been a while since our visit and it still bothers me that someone could be so miserable when welcoming guests to their premises. |No one at desk at check out time-so obviously not interested in if we enjoyed our stay, want to come back or had any feedback. |Rooms had everything we needed and very clean. Was lovely to see the cheerful cleaning staff the next morning, they are clearly doing a great job. |Very close to local amenities and kids loved having a pool and playground right next to us. |Shame about who you have representing your business and who is the lasting impression of your accommodation. |We will look for somewhere else to...

When I heard I was booked into a 'resort motel' maybe my expectations were a bit high...the bathroom had a weird smell to it. Upon reading others reviews I took my internet modem so would not have internet issues. No Sky TV or even Freeview!?! so thankfully had my laptop and hdmi even though my laptop was almost bigger than the TV. I was in the room by reception (701) and upon arrival went to open the curtains to find no sheers and so everyone that was pulling in to book in was staring straight into my room so closed the curtains again. A simple sheer or net would have made the room private; having to close the curtains to get some privacy was not pleasant. The light in the kitchen (even though switched off) flashed all night like a strobe light. By the time i realised, I was going to bed and was not going to say anything at the time as did not want to move rooms. At least the bed was comfortable. I am not saying I would not recommend to stay here as it is good value for what you get but I have stayed at a lot of motels ercently that offer more...

I stayed in one of the “Deluxe Studios”. The website photos are accurate. I’m not sure why it is called a studio as the bedroom was separate to the living area. It was very nice - clean, roomy. I believe renovated in the last year. Full sized fridge in the kitchen. Comfortable couch. Good wifi. There were screen blinds over the windows in the living area for privacy but at night they were basically transparent. The living area could do with curtains. (The bedroom had excellent curtains.) Close to the beach, shops and wharf. Very convenient for seeing the rest of the Coromandel Peninsula. I would recommend staying there, and would definitely stay there again.

Had a ocean superior room - ground floor room. The room was spacious, great amenities in bathroom. The hair dryer went kaput, and the front desk immediately replaced with an even better model. I thought the container of complimentary milk for the coffee was a very nice touch. That milk was SO CREAMY & Delicious! The ability to do an amazing walk along the beach at sunrise was so peaceful. The town is in easy walking distance, and there are two equally great breakfast spots across from the ferry dock. Do a walk in the AM and have coffee and pastry right on the beach.

My partner and I recently had a vacation at this wonderful place! We stayed on the ground floor, and believe me, the location is a dream come true. The ocean is literally 25 meters from our back door. There's also a convenient supermarket nearby, the stunning views around the area were perfect for leisurely walks. A bath tub with a spa was delightful surprise, plus having 2 TVs was a nice touch for those cozy evenings. I can't recommend this place highly enough to anyone looking for a beachside getaway.
