Odderøya is a small island which people can walk along and complete the entire path in half of a day. Some paths are suitable for wheelchair, some are not. There are also small paths from the main route to go for a beach and visit previously military bases.

Although it is not far away from the city, it is quiet and peaceful. There is also bbq in place (bring your own tray), caffe and toilets available.

Awesome location for hiking and biking. The availability of trails is anything from mild paved trails leading to a coffee shop or Rocky climbing up to the top. There is also a ton of history to observe here revolving around the harbor and it's protection...

Im Juni haben wir schon die Stadt Kristiansand erkundet. Nun wollten wir die Insel Odderoya umwandern. Ich habe mir vorab schon einige Punkte angesehen und die mit Google Maps markiert. Leider hat das aber so nicht geklappt, einmal mussten wir auch umdrehen, weil der Waldweg zu Ende war. Irgendwo sind wir wohl falsch abgebogen. Trotzdem hatten wir tolle Ausblicke auf den Fjord, den Hafen und auch alte Geschützstellungen und Bunker sind überall auf der Insel. Ebenso sind die alten Kasernen in Kindergärten und Kunstateliers...
