Guide to Lofoten — Attraction in Moskenes

Our trip to Lofoten in January 2025 was truly one of the most memorable experiences of our lives, and we owe so much of it to Ivar and Radka. We're a couple in our 30s from Singapore, and we had the pleasure of booking them for a 3-day private tour and two-way transfer. They were exceptional hosts — reliable, adaptable, and simply a joy to be around.

During our arrival, a major snowstorm caused significant flight delays, but Ivar and Radka were in constant communication with us, ensuring that we were picked up promptly from the airport. Given the chaos of arriving during a snowstorm, we really appreciated their attentiveness and care.

Despite the unpredictable and stormy weather during our stay, we always felt in good hands. They were incredibly flexible, adjusting plans on the fly based on the weather and seeking out locations with better conditions so we could make the most of the limited daylight hours.

Ivar and Radka are also fantastic company. They took us to some of the most stunning spots with breathtaking views, all the while sharing interesting stories and insights. As great conversationalists, we felt completely at ease with them. They also knew when to give us space to enjoy the moment, which was very thoughtful. They introduced us to some delicious Norwegian snacks and always made sure we were warm with hot drinks on chilly days. These gestures made our time together even more pleasant.

The cherry on top of the cake? Radka is a great photographer! As photography enthusiasts, we are generally picky with photos but we can honestly say we loved the photos she had taken of us throughout the trip, memories that we'll cherish for years to come.

While the price may be a little higher than some may be used to or expect, we felt that it was worth every Krone. We wholeheartedly recommend Ivar and Radka to anyone seeking excellent hosts to explore Lofoten — without the stress of driving or planning. We hope to meet them...

We conquered the Ryten summit, and just as we reached the top, the clouds parted, revealing the most breathtaking sunlight-lit landscape—a truly magical moment!

Descending was just as exciting, as Ivar took us through a safer yet exhilarating alternate route, allowing us to slide down the snow—an absolute thrill!

What a wonderful, personally challenging and beautiful experience. After emailing how we need to prepare the day before, Ivar picked us up at our hotel and we drove to the start of ryten hike. At that point he provided us with everything we would need to be prepared for the 5-6 hours in the mountains. Snow gear, backpacks , ice spikes, snowshoes, everything was thought through. He was educational with equipment, hiking knowledge, local information and Norwegian history. He cared for each of the hikers based on their need while snapping photos and taking video along the way. He motivated when needed and took time to rest when necessary. Beautiful views and amazing surroundings were everywhere as he guided us to the top of Ryten.
