Dinner on two separate evenings. Opted for the same mains both evenings i.e. Seasonal Arctic Cod with a cripsy seasoned top. First night was sublime and so, for me it was the most attractive option on 2nd evening. Regrettably; on the 2nd evening, the mains was presented almost cold and without the crowning crispy topping. It was returned to the kitchen for a reheat but was served cold again and still without the feature topping. That was very disappointing and all that was offered in compensation was a small token reduction on the total bill. Not Good Enough – really ! Now; that bit over with, I found the staff professional and very polite. The atmosphere and general arrangement of the interior successfully preserves the original fittings and fixed furniture of its prior incarnation as an Apothecary premises. Do I recommend Café Tekehtopa – Yes! Will I...

No longer a Turkish menu - new management, I believe. I've just eaten one of the worst meals I've had. Billed as 'classic' schnitzel. Schnitzel pieces very large, oddly-shaped,undulating and curly. It tasted odd, but I was hungry. I also noticed it was stringy and tough, but assumed it was pork, not veal, and I'd happened on a gristly bit. It continued to be stringy and tough, and didn't taste like pork, either. I gave up eating it because it was making me feel queasy. My wife's was just as bad, and when she went in to pay, said we didn't like it and asked what type of meat it was. Beef. No apology, no reduction, although the waiter seemed to expect the complaint. I've never heard of schnitzel made with beef, and this was substandard beef of a cheap, poor...

Café Tekehtopa was a splendid experiences January 2024 eating relatively short lunch (40 min max). Did it three days in a row, and alternated between their today’s pasta and soup. With a decreased ability to taste (probably due to an earlier covid or similar), I was recommended the dish with most flavours.

I enjoyed every meal. The service was great, and just small things like setting some chilli flakes that I could add to the food (last day), sees that they really had attentions towards my first day story about little taste. Impressive service.

The bread served as a teaser was great.

I will definitely use Tekehtopa next time doing public service in...

An Italian-inspired restaurant, with options for all tastes: meat, fish, risotto, pasta. We tried the ravioli of wild boar, the fish and the tiramisu: all of them exquisitely done. An option that worked all around: relaxed environment, polite staff, conformable space and delicious food: the possibility to have a nice dinner. Great selection of wines. Oh and the focaccia served as courtesy is the best I ever tasted!

Initially I was not impressed with the decoration: but dark for my taste, too warm, interior a bit “tired”. The staff was welcoming and service minded. Food came pretty quickly. Focaccia offered is a bit “crusty” but tasty. Main course was tasty. Overall a OK restaurant for a relaxing night out with friends.
