Read moreGreat location with great view over the Trondheimsfjord and Munkholmen, but many parts of the facility are borderline derelict.
The positive: Great view from the pools. Good varieties of pools for adults and kids. Food is ok. Nice jacuzzi outside on a balcony. Good variety in the silent zone/spa.
The negative is mostly impacted by poor hygiene. Here's why we're not coming back: Many parts of the facilites really shows it's 24 years old, and lacks proper maintanance. Sharded tiles, mold, rust, cracked sealants, Hole in the walls and tiles is found everywhere. There are several areas that smells either bad or offputting. Steamsauna for instance smells like mold and sour clothes. The whole floor where the restaurant Jaffs is located, and all the stairs leading to it, is covered in grease, and you can easily scate over to the counter on your bare feets. Good thing you can wash off all that grease in the pools when you leave (rolling eyes). Pricey! Family of three payd 500+ for entry, 660 for three simple and small meals, and 110 for parking below Pirbadet in 2 hours. The silent zone/spa, is not so silent when you can here shouting and dropping weights from...
Read moreI wasn't sure what to expect because the reviews were so mixed. We found the place very clean and well staffed. There are plenty of play areas for kids, lots of ways for them to be entertained in the water. There is a large lap pool, but the water is deep. There is also a pool with diving boards. Waterslides and a rock climbing wall. As seniors, my husband and I spent most of our time in the "wellness area". The wellness area is meant to be a quiet zone for ages 16 and up. It was quiet and pleasant. A few times family with young children came in and I chased them out. I don't really understand why parents felt the need to come in with young children. There was nothing in there that was "fun" for kids and 80% of the facility is set up for kids. There were plenty of lockers. We didn't eat at the cafe, but we did bring some water and snacks. The views of the harbor from the wellness area were wonderful. My husband said it exceeded his expectations, which is high praise indeed. The bus stop is directly next to the facility, so it is easy to access using public transportation. You can purchase tickets in advance, but you have to have a VIPs mobile account, meaning you bank in...
