Although smaller than the more famous Santa Catalina across the river, it is well worth crossing the river and seeking out this tranquil convent. As fewer people make the effort to come here, it is much quieter and easier to enjoy the peace and beauty of this place, which has much to enjoy. The real highlight is the magnificent library, but its trio of attractive cloisters are superb. Views from the viewpoint in the bell tower are excellent, although for the nervous or those who have issues with steps, the (metal) spiral staircase doesn’t feel entirely secure, and the wooden viewing platform feels even less so. It is easy to lose an hour or two enjoying this place at a gentle pace and appreciating all that it...

There are several and varied stuff displayed on the museums, but they're not really taking good care of them. Some of the shelves are dusty and there's not good, updated information available for every item. They let us go upstairs and have a nice view of the city, though. The entry fee is 10 soles. The library, which have some catholic prohibited books, is being restored, so these days (last week of June 2018), the entrance to the library is...

We had an amazing time at this museum. It is very cheap in price only, there is a wealth of interesting artefacts to discover inside. Even without the exhibition the monastery would be worth looking at. I personally especially enjoyed seeing how the monks lived and would like to thank the super friendly guy at the reception (Friday Nov. 8) who took the time to personally explain some instruments and share some...
