Mu husband and I spent 3 nights here, our first hotel of our Peruvian holiday. The garden in particular and the premises in general are pretty and well looked after. It’s lovely to look over the river and having the vulcano in the background. Upon arrival a complimentary drink to have at the bar is offered. Breakfast was very good too: with the possibility of ordering up to 3 plates (sweet and savoury). The room was spacious, bright and the bed was very comfy! I’d say it’s a bit noisy for me being a lightsleeper as the bridge nearby gets busy with cars and mopeds beeping from early in the morning and the window did not block out the noise much - although it didn’t prevent me from sleeping or wake me up in the middle of the night to be fair. Cleanliness standards of our bedroom weren’t the highest: some visible stains on the sofa, floor got the soles of the slippers provided black, the bathroom got easily steamed (due to poor ventilation) and felt damp after each shower. Also no small table nor chairs to enjoy the small...
Read moreThis boutique hotel is right by a bridge over River Chili leading to old city and within easy walking distance to main sights. It's tucked down on the river bank and doesn't look like a hotel at all. Some of the hotel is almost built into the slope - probably good for earthquake resistance. The slope works well to keep traffic noise out of the rooms. We found the Hotel staff good (and with good English), The overall design of the hotel is interesting and creative and we understand it was built around 1990||||The rooms are spread through a lovely, sloping garden complete with running water, a llama and 6 peacocks (who came and looked through the window into our room). ||||We ate in town in the evenings so can't comment on dinner but the breakfasts were good with eggs cooked to order.||||Our room was a Junior suite which was lovely with a huge bed huge and was generally comfortable. BBC World News was available on the television. ||||We enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in...
Read moreMy wife and I opted for this venue due to its captivating blend of Arequipa's architectural charm. The inclusive breakfast exceeded expectations—kudos to Mr. Victor for impeccable service in the stunningly designed restaurant. Special mention to Mr. Fidel, consistently cheerful, providing water and delightful treats nightly. Though we encountered a bathroom ceiling leak prompting a room change, the swift and effective response from the hotel staff left us impressed. Despite the absence of AC, the overall room ambiance and comfort, coupled with the local weather, made our stay delightful. A solid 5-star choice; if returning to Arequipa, it would be our top pick. Gratitude to...
