Playa Waikiki is a well-known surf spot in Miraflores, located right below the Parque del Amor. It’s a favorite among beginner surfers thanks to its smaller, more manageable waves and the number of surf schools offering lessons and rentals right on the beach. The name gives it a fun, laid-back vibe, and the surf community here is welcoming.

Like most of Lima’s beaches, it’s rocky rather than sandy, so it’s not ideal for lounging or swimming. Instead, the charm is in its surf culture and its accessibility—it’s one of the easiest beaches to reach from central Miraflores. The Malecón above gives beautiful views of the action below, and sunsets here are especially nice.

Playa Waikiki is best if you want to learn to surf, rent a board for a few hours, or simply watch the lively scene...

This is the go to spot for beginner surfers, the waves are forgiving and currents are predictable, you can also find a ton of rentals and surf schools along the beach.

The place gets very crowded in the summer and on weekends, so plan accordingly, if you're a more experienced surfer you can try heading out deeper about where the dock ends to avoid the...

Recomendación Vital: Si vas a esta playa lleva zapatillas, La playa tiene dos facetas la del surf y la de nadador general, lo explico en detalle.

Encontras servicios de enseñanza de surf las cuales las hacen emocionantes si te gustaría aprender, no adquirí el servicio. Mira otros comentarios al respecto.

Por otro lado por el usuario general las playas tienen piedras de tamaño medianas te undes al caminar.

Puesto que es una playa con mareas perfectas para el surf se es difícil entrar incluso con sandalias, se te las quitará por las olas y sufrirás subir por las piedras de medio tamaño. Debes llevar zapatillas listas para entrar al mar.

Mi experiencia fue un poco aterradora y dolorienta pero es una playa tranquila por la costa.

No tienen muchas cosas para merendar así que deberás acudir a otros medios para satisfacer tu hambre tras nadar.

Así que si lleva ligero o tu equipo de surf. Porque estarás mucho en la costa o estarás con todo tu equipo de surf para disfrutar las buenas olas...

A fantastic pebble beach (similar to the beaches of Batumi for example) with top-notch views of Lima's cliffs. Rich in wildlife. Great for the first contact with Lima and the Pacific Ocean. Once there you can't miss the peculiar sound when the waves backtrack.

Um conjunto de praias bem diferente do que vemos no Brasil, pois para chegar na praia, é preciso descer cerca de 250 degraus para chegar de fato no mar. A maioria das praias não tem areia, só pedra. A água é bem gelada, mas tem umas ondas pra surfar. São várias as opções de escolinhas de surf, que já disponibilizam roupa de borracha e botinha, juntamente com o aluguel das pranchas, sem custo adicional. Vale a pena conhecer e se arriscar no surf, ondas super fácil.
